What about 360 saying all this utter rubbish about the great show of leadership from Gus.

What absolute rubbish. Anyone could see this was an issue on Monday and Gould knew about this last weekend but tried to brush it under the carpet. Instead he denied the whole thing and still said on Monday that jac had done nothing wrong.

What are the chances that the police get a drug swab incorrect ? Gotta be under one percent.

Gould just tried to manipulate the whole thing as he thought the second swab wouldn’t come back for a few weeks.

Gould looks like an absolute goose in my opinion.

Gould should be hit with a breach as well for not handling or reporting this matter correctly to the integrity unit last weekend when he first came to hear about it.

What a disgrace.

Gus backed his player at first because JAC told him there was nothing to worry about... then, when he found out that was not the case, Gus came out and said so - and made it clear he was not happy and that he had not been told the whole story...

...not sure how Gould could have handled it better tbh... except maybe not comment at all, but he is a paid commentator so....

The example of the bus driver incident is hyperbolic at best as an example to use in comparison to what’s apparently happened with Addo Carr and used for effect to create a linkage that is grossly unfair imo. Anyway I can’t believe I am defending a bulldogs player!

I think you are slightly off the point on this one, in my opinion at least.

Josh has not been accused of driving under the influence and the cops clearly thought he was not under the influence.

You may as well say no-one who has taken any legal medications or consumed even a tiny bit of alcohol should drive.

Obviously the bus driver was badly impaired (by legal prescription drugs), drove badly and goes to jail for 32 years. No relevance really to Josh's situation imo.

He's brought the game into disrepute simply because he's been found to use illegal drugs, but there's no suggestion he put lives at risk. If he was driving badly or DUI that is another matter entirely.

Gould looks like a goose because JAC lied to him. I don’t think he tried to sweep it under the carpet.

Nah you’re off by reading into semantics and overthinking things too much.

I only used the bus driver as an example because apparently he’d driven with prescription medication in his system (the kind that can impair your driving) on other occasions and it did no harm to anyone….until the day that it did. And that was initially the only point I was making, I.e we all mistakes and are human but sometimes we make mistakes and it has catastrophic outcomes.

That’s the only reason I used that example…to suggest that it’s always just a small mistake until the day that it isn’t. Which might be why the law exists in the first place.

You and Uber are finding that hard to fathom and instead have suggested I am claiming the two scenarios are identical and he should go to jail and all sorts of other random angles that have nothing to do with what I was suggesting.

It’s a forum not a court room. If I said driving under the influence I just mean he got busted with drugs in his system. I haven’t sat and pondered over the wording.

The other thing worth considering is my perspective is harmless and simply advocates for the notion that people think about the potential consequences before getting behind the wheel. Hardly contentious. Whereas contrary opinions are down the line of we all make mistakes and Josh didn’t really do anything that bad…which helps how?

Anyway I’m exhausted trying to explain something I don’t care that much about so I’m gonna leave it there.

hey relax, Manly wins! And fyi when you joined this forum I remarked to the other mods (as was I at the time) hmm this bloke seems too intelligent for silvertails (not sure if there was a lol)

My sole point is that driving with drugs is not the same as driving under the influence of drugs.

In other words although some drug may show up in your system it is not sufficient to adversely influence your driving.

i wholeheartedy agree with you that driving under the influence of [anything ] is potentially lethal and therefore extremely serious.

I myself* have long in the past driven in such state and only by luck avoided harming anyone.

*Not necessarily true, think of this a trump 'hey I heard this' example
