[Resurrected] jason king

Early in Kings career I remember he played a full game with a broken leg. He was very tough!
and Matai played most of his career with chronic neck and shoulder pain (understandable when you consider how hard he whacked in defence. Those hits would have hurt him almost as much as the victims)

Thanks for the memories feathered friend
What hurt Matai more than his impacted chronic injuries more was Manly losing
Matai was a highly competitive player
Matai played with passion to win and with no preservation with out regard for his own safety , well being or survival .
A player who put his body and his life on the line
Just like our sacrificial Manly War heroes did

Seibolds undermining of the Pressure Privilege of all Manly Premiership Winning Players and his deflecting of his teams sacrificial winning focus with his War in Ukraine comparison
Is A complete contradiction to all our Manly War Heroes who courageously sacrificed them selves for the Glory of our Legendary Manly club .

The Moral of the Manly Winning Premiership Winning War Heroes Story
On the footty battle field if you do do not put your body on the line like war heroes do
You dont Win
No Pressure No Premiership Win
No Sacrifice No Premiership Winning Glory
The grand final replay was Manly's sixth game in 24 days with several Sea Eagles players having painful injections to get onto the field. Second-rower Terry Randall had a total of six injections - four in a shoulder and two in a groin.
The victory in 1978 gave the Sea Eagles their fourth title after premiership wins in 1972, 1973 and 1976.
Ken Arthurson, the 'Godfather of Manly', recalled the toughness of the '78 team in a special feature interview series called 'Arko'.
"There were that many injuries in that team, I can't believe how they got on the field for that Grand Final,'' Arthurson said.

"Some of them were really battered about. They rose to the occasion. They were a really tough and great side."
