Jamal Fogarty

Jamal has more goals so far by one. Canberra has scored two more tries than us. Would be interesting to know what both their percentages sit at as of now. I can't seem to find it
Fogarty has kicked 31/36 at 86%, Garrick 30/38 at 79% which is his best strike rate since 2021. If we want to go back further:

2024 - Fogarty 80%, Garrick 76%
2023 - Fogarty 88%, Garrick 76%
2022 - Fogarty 79%, Garrick 76%
2021 - Fogarty 78%, Garrick 82%

Have to go back 4 years for a season where Garrick kicked better, since then Fogarty has consistently struck them at a better rate and would be a better option for us next year. Crazy to use points scored as the comparison when Garrick is an outside back who regularly scores tries and has generally had more attempts from being on a more attacking team.

Fogarty should be our first choice kicker then. No doubt about it

And agree around your point with Garrick 100 percent

Come on people. Numbers are numbers. I can see this is a lost battle for most on here.

Fogarty is a solid player and as a team the raiders are doing well for once. does that mean JF is the reason the raiders are playing well?

DCE has better numbers, more experience, more wins, less injuries and a much longer career yet manly's position on the ladder is all on him.... if by seasons end we get our winning mojo back and are above the raiders is that also on DCE or will that be all about the team?

perhaps then we can agree JF will be a downgrade on what we already have. Just like Seibold was a downgrade on what we had before.

Downgrade or not did you miss the part when DCE went on TV and stated he may play next season but not with us? So comparisons are pointless DCE is leaving. The choice for next season is Brooks and Turbo, Brooks and an untried rookie who the club feels is not quite ready or Brooks and Arthur/Wakeham. I would prefer 2 seasons with Fogarty but the market has forced 3 on us. If Walsh or Large are as good as we and the club hope one of them will force their way in in the next 2 seasons and we can let Brooks or Fogarty explore their options.

Who’s DCE?

JF at $700k is better for the salary cap than DCE has been at $1.2m. It will provide us more flexibility in the cap, especially when Jake and Tom renegotiate for less amounts. It was no secret Gifty, snake and choc played for unders to win. DCE has never made it a secret that he wanted top dollar. The only stat I’m interested in is how many premierships we win in the upcoming years. Go manly

Garrick does seem miss "simpler" conversions more than other kickers.

However to be fair, i feel we score most of our tries on the edges so Garrick's % will be lower as he has "harder" kicks.

It would be interesting to see the breakdown of the goalkickers % and how many of them are closer to the touchline compared to closer to the posts.

Garrick is pretty streaky - can miss an easy one, but can also hit 6 out of 6 from the sideline.

We cannot.

Apart from a premiership with a red hot team which he contributed big time to tearing apart, what exactly do you think the current halfback has done for the ... CLUB?

Hey bob - hope ya well mate.
I will add something to this conversation, there are always a few players who are unhappy at their club, or with deals regards to broken promises, money comparable to team mates that complain to player managers and THIS is constantly opening doors for potential "negotiations" with NRL rivals.....is it outside the November timeline, history will show this is just part of the game.

Thank you for the kind thoughts - fit and firing at the point in time.

NRL stats are a minefield however that image is pretty bad

As per NRL. com

Look we all know the premium player DCE is so, as others have pointed out it is difficult to compare the two however as you can see on the numbers above they are just different sort of players
What's a receipt?

I mean in football, not a shop
