That bit worries me. I wish who ever is tipping the journo would shut up and seal the deal

Mate ! It’s inflation ! Bananas have gone up 5.99a kg , blueberries are $8 a punnet , and don’t mention electricity and water ..Really. $700K per for 3 years. That'll just about do me. This club is beyond fuked.

Just sayin’
I did originally mean to write 6 but it auto corrected. I still would have been wrong anyway haha.Close. Played 20 finals for 9 wins and 11 losses
More than 100,000 kgs , That will feed a lot of monkeys!$700k buys a lot of bananas!
With what cap?Good news if true.
If we're interested in recruiting forwards, whether junior or reserve grade or current NRL, we're more likely to get them to join a side with a decent halfback.
Which Fogarty nowadays is.
Not many first grade halves going for less. With the cap what it is it is a fair price. If Walsh becomes the player the club believes he is he will push Fogarty out of the team and we can let fogarty explore his options. I hope walsh becomes a champion but from what I have seen (in league and union) I'm not sold on him. It is a safe bet from the club and I back them on it.Really. $700K per for 3 years. That'll just about do me. This club is beyond fuked.
I hope Ricky got a percentage of the deal as his tactics meant more dollars for Fogarty.Still a very good deal for both parties. $700k for a starting half coming into his best years is a steal for us. Bummer Canberra played a little hard ball to drive his price up with Sticky helping him on his way out.
Hope the next couple of pieces include a hooker, prop and lock.Still a very good deal for both parties. $700k for a starting half coming into his best years is a steal for us. Bummer Canberra played a little hard ball to drive his price up with Sticky helping him on his way out.
Fogarty and Brooks on a total of $1.3m per year is great business for starting halves. This is the 1st piece of the puzzle put in place to balance out our squad.
Tom Starling would be my next signing. Now Fogarty is with us I would prioritise Starling now with their combination already built.Hope the next couple of pieces include a hooker, prop and lock.
Except for the training at hooker, playing at half stuff. Even without the DCE departure, we still desperately needed a hooker. If you watch the Jamie Humphries podcast with the Johns boys you get the very strong feeling that the club thought DCE would still be here (even though it was confusing for him etc) which is why they also bought walsh and large...for when he finished.
I do not think it is a lack of forward planning rather an inability to manage players and their expectations
Possibly, but I favour TT2 as a strong, running 5/8.I'm all in on Hoppa in the 6.
He is worth the asking price Mark obviously cheaper the better thoughWould have been nice at $550k
But we need a half back so I guess that’s the dollars these days
Yes but there’s not too many quality halves on the market is there, so I’m guessing “ market value “.$700,000 per season for three years?
A bit rich imo.
Clayton a 5/8? Are you sipping turps?Possibly, but I favour TT2 as a strong, running 5/8.
Even Clayton could be an option. He's NRL-ready but only getting his chance when an injury occurs to others.
