Lawton played Ben T’s edge not 13 but yes, was outstanding! Just goes to show he is a back rower, not a 9.

Thought he was great. Outstanding debut that made the whole side better. Lawton was fantastic in the back row as well, as others have pointed out. Fingers crossed this time we have a keeper.

His service was impeccable 99.9% of the match. Crisp fast ball to DCE and Brooks. Excellent to the big guys and a few darts from dummy half. A very good build for the position as well. Finally we may have our 9...

There was one pass he threw in the second half to Jake T and I was right in line with it; a beautiful spiral bullet that was...wait for it...OUT IN FRONT OF THE BALL RUNNER!

Nice debut for Manly today. His passing from dummy half was crisp.
Not sure what his running game is like - but he did his job well.
He is quite small thou,so not sure if that may limit him in the future. I wish he was in Lawtons body, he would be a clear winner then.

Quite small? 6ft and over 90kg. Similar to Croker then in terms of size and yet no-one mentions him being small

Brooks is listed as 5'11" I think. It's just his head that makes him look like a dwarf
