Maloney was close to griffin they are a similar style of bloke. We need more people like that in the game. I rubbished the idea of making a play for Maloney when DCE was heading to the titans but the fact is he is a winner. Cleary the wonder boy was out for ten weeks and the panthers killed it when he was out. Once he came back they have been wonky.

And yet the NRL fan poll had him as the Halfback of the Year.
But I wouldn't take much stock in that poll. ANZ Stadium was voted the worst venue in the NRL....and the 2nd favourite. It also said that the media coverage of the NRL was "mostly positive". I wonder how many News Ltd. staff were told to vote?
And from the overall votes, most who took the poll seemed to be Brisbane and Qld fans.

Goes in line with the owners not getting who they would prefer. I love the bloke, favourite Manly player growing up, but i would prefer he doesn't come back as HC... It was very hard watching him being knifed in the back the first time.
