I believe it was initially reported that Ballin will join us in some capacity. It was never said he'll be our head strength and conditioning coach. Just us silvertails getting excited. Singe would be the perfect man for Ballin to do his apprenticeship under and gain all his qualifications.
Hasler Cartwright Randall Donny and Ballin has the makings of a good coaching staff. Offload Perrett and add another big boppa and maybe another specialist winger and happy days

Nailed it I reckon!

Because Donny has extensive training and experience. Matt is early in his career and as far as I’m aware would only be qualified to be a junior (as in less experienced not coaching kids) S&C coach
Donny has proved to be good at his job and is also a good guy . I would be very happy with Donny .
Maybe Matt has gained his appropriate strength and conditioning qualifications for NRL ?

I love Donny and would be pleased for him to come back but I reckon there is something very special about Matty Ballin. It’s a hunch.

I reckon Matt would be perfect for a strength and conditioning role. The advantage he has over Donny is that he played a whole career at the toughest standard and that experience would be invaluable.

I’m hoping we can have both.

From a fan perspective, Matt Ballin is solid gold!!

From what I read a while ago Ballin is still a year or 2 from being fully qualified for NRL head SC position, I could be wrong, just repeating 2nd hand, so would not surprise me seeing him back at the club in a junior SC role under someone else, hopefully Donny.

Nah (from what I can gather) I went and checked it out when this rumour floated. He went more down a mentoring side according to his LinkedIn. It’s generally a masters degree so it’s a big commitment. Also head S&C jobs are highly sought after and it’s unlikely you’d put a guy with no professional experience in charge of other S&C staff

Bellamy's stats should always have an asterisk

I hope dessie and donny do reunite at manly.
I remember in around 04/05 they trained for a week with some special forces unit, from memory the players all thought they were dying.
