I agree our performances were poor. Completely. I've accept that it's a mixture of everything.

I'm surprised almost the same amount of people on the poll on here, have Des being the coach next year, as Carty.

I'm surprised Laurie Daly commented on radio after Madge fell through, that he thought Des would be coach.

In time i could forgive Des. I think he would need more support then the cutrent assistants, and an attacking tactical coach like Jason Taylor then makes perfect sense.

But if Penn wouldn't give Madge his staff, could Des's demands be less.

Not my first choice, but I could again live with Des SORRY. It would again be Manly. He is a hard arse. He is a great coach. If he doesn't try and have us attack like he did at the dogs.

I think that the story about Taylor is a deliberate "smokes screen" leak from the club to get us thinking and so it softens the blow not week when they confirm that Cartwright is coach ..... I think they think that we will see him as the lesser of two weevils.

* hasler and toovey - if they where in run both media and there management would be leaking unless it being negotiated secret.
* to me cartwright a done deal - and with possible turbos looking around its most stable decision. Given they are key to our future.

What have the Walker Bros done that makes them appear on most coaching jobs waiting list. Won a comp with Ipswich didn't they???

According themantra offered in QLD the Walker Bros took a consistently struggling club with limited funding and not only won them a premiership but put them consistently near the top of that comp. Now that's the mantra. In 2015 they certainly lit the fire. they came in fifth the two years before but missed the finals in 2016-7 and made the quarters this year. I'm assuming the brothers have been coaching throughout. They've done well and story goes that Bennett attends all their games, but if their style is that great they don't seem to have consistently been competing for the crown.

If you read what was written about the membership lady, she said she will call back next week once the announcement is made as members will be happy.

Not sure how that equates to just trying to sell memberships? If she called back next week after the glorious announcement of Cartwright she would be politely told to root her boot.
