Could potentially be 100% on the money, but if the team has been told I would imagine it will be out in the media long before any press conference or media release. I see in today’s MD Penn said that “have had preliminary sounding outs but it is still early days” when discussing coaching in 2018.

Have to agree - stood by him for a while early on when I felt he copped a fair spray of unfair criticism....but as the excuses kept coming along with the same poor results, felt let down that we had a leader who was not only rudderless, but in denial and had far lower expectations than I of this proud club....these latest excuses confirmed it.

Did you know , prior to Twitter launching in ( I think) 2006 we had about 3 Prime Ministers in 20 years ( not exact figures there but you get the drift) , since Twitter started we’ve had 7 in 10 years.

Social media , and the rumours that start on there play a very big role in what happens in RL today.

See where Maguire said facilities mean nothing to him, its about the people.

So tell me how Barrett sooking about chairs and desks is going to turn coaches away?

His valid points about no Recruitment Managers or Head of Football etc are the issues that will turn other coaches away.

Those points raised by Barrett were very valid. And it sure as hell is not his doing that those positions were not/are not filled.

He said some stupid crap in that Rothtool interview, but the frivolous stuff will not effect attracting new coaches.

A crap front office and poor funding of the football department personnel sure will though.

After Zorba's comments last weekend I am just resigned to the fact that we have another dud coach. Out of interest do you really think we've got any chance of not getting stuck with another few years of having a coach of the calibre of Cartwright leading us?

Why all this angst against the Penns? The Penn's aren't frugal and they have the interests of the club and fans at heart. They'll sign an experienced coach on big $. Be patient. Cartwrong is just going to be the caretaker until that happens.......... in the next 2 years.

The is still plenty of water to travel under the bridge. All we know now is:

Trent Barrett is gone.

Peter Peters is retiring.

Cartwright will oversee the last game, with the help of Chad Randall (Manly junior)

The boys are probably looking forward to blow off some steam on Mad Monday.

It's a long offseason....

Manly will be back!

I don't have any inside info. I'd love to think they would but I'm not holding my breath.
