Is the tide turning?

One encouraging note about Barrett's coaching is the performance of Jason Taylor. He did a couple of good things at Parra but he's been on the nose for a long while. But Wests recent efforts suggest he's turning the corner...or is it just that his very talented young squad have decided to take issues into their own hands.

And I'd love Manly to have that young centre Naiqama. He's like a young Matai.

Oh. He's 27. Well still be a good catch.

Naiqama is a great player, like him a lot.
Watched Sione Mata'utia run around for Newcastle a week or so back and he reminded me a hell of a lot of Matai: some big hits in defence and damaging dummy half runs. Ah, if only we never aged…

I was thinking the same thing about Mata'utia today - he put on some great hits.
