Is it worth a lazy hundred for 2014 and 2015?

Firstly not saying anything untoward and I certainly believe that the NRL and their auditor are beyond reproach OK. (Disclaimer out of the way.)

But remember the last team that beat Manly in a grand-final - Melbourne, two years later they were stripped of points and 'won' the wooden spoon.

I wonder if the same could happen to Easts?

Is it worth a lazy type of 'hedge-bet' for the next two or three years?

Obviously people should make their own betting decisions and not rely on the statements above etc (another disclaimer.)

I think they've changed it all now anyway mate. Pretty sure that after the storm got stripped that year all wooden spoon betting is for most losses, not position on the ladder.

Could be wrong though.

I'd be putting a lazy $100 on Albury Thunder to win the NSW Cup over the next two seasons.

Cronulla had Melbourne players in there NSW Cup team - GF winners
Brisbane Easts same - Runners up
