The year we won the comp 87 rambos last year. When Rambo was stuffed the trainer would bring out some fake blood smear it on him and then Paul Shaw would cone on and run the other team ragged. The good old days.

After Rambo did all da damage, yeah great old days. We had about half of the best Eagles in history in that team.

I can barely walk and talk once the jet lag kicks in. Kevin Ward, on the other hand, gets off a plane and powers Manly to a grand final victory.

Well above average heat wise that 87 G F day as well . didn 't seem to affect him at all

From memory it was a hot day ( I’m sure I drank a lot of beer ) he not only came off the plane and almost straight into a GF, but he came from -5 Yorkshire to 30 degree Sydney.

And played the game of his life.

I still maintain that we should have smashed the Raiders by at least 30 that day. We bombed so many tries that it was not funny.

I think I got kicked out of a mates man shed after that, he was a mad Faiders supporter but after he gave me my $100 bucks of cause ;-)

I got tickets but all that was left was “ Brewongle Deluxe “ ( I think they pulled down the old Brewongle stand later ) , right up the back , great view , about 10 steps to the bar.
