Not sure how true this is but it was sent to me by a mate earlier and knowing him i'd say it's pretty close........
With Round 20 out of the way, time to revisit history and look who historically is out of the Premiership race...
No eventual Premier has come from outside the Top 7, after a Round 20 fixture;
No eventual Premier has had a negative for/against, after Round 20; and
The lowest for/against at this point, was the 2005 Tigers with +17, followed by Canterbury in 1995 with +47.
It's time to say 'no victory lap for you' to
Melbourne (denied), Cronulla, North Queensland, Canterbury, Newcastle, Canberra, Parramatta, Brisbane and Souths (outside top 7); Gold Coast, New Zealand, Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters (negative or below +17 f/a).
This leaves one of the following teams as the most likely to win the Premiership based on historical data;
Illawarra/St.George, Penrith and Manly.
