Inside the meeting that could redefine Trbojevic’s NRL career

Possible shades of last year. Tom moved to the centres, only to be moved back to fullback at week later due to injury to Koula.

Interesting comments from Mestov.

But Mestrov also said that the intention was for the 2021 Dally M Medallist to return to fullback, where he is one of the NRL's most dangerous players when fit.

"We're just trying to get some hands on the ball for Tom and change it up a bit," Mestrov told AAP.

"The idea is we just want him to regain his confidence and start playing again.

"There is no doubt he is one of the best fullbacks in the world and we will see him go back there.

"They say a change is as a good as a holiday. I think it's just to enact him, everyone knows what he can do.

"I'm pretty excited to see what he can do (at centre) ... We've seen what he has done for Australia and NSW and what he can do. He will have the same roaming role."

It does seem odd that the CEO is the one talking about team selections and playing strategies like this.

So who's his centre partner and who's on the wing. And is Talau in the mix. There's going to be some unhappy disruptions in the backs for a while. Hope its sorted out quickly. If it is and if the forwards dig deep...and if DCE and Brooks put on their best playing guernseys..and if... well there is a chance Manly could walk away with this game... if...

Happiness starts and ends with the Great Winning Mentors
When Turbo had a Great Winning SOO Mentor he was made happy to play at centre to the point he was Inspired to be one of the teams Match Winning best
Great mentors inspire players to run through brink walls for them , Jump through blazing fire hoops for them play out of position for them and Annihilate the opposition for them

Great Mentors Erase thoughts in our minds that are holding us back
The only way forward is with Great Mentors
So Hang around with Great Mentors and you will never look back feathered friends
Have a Great Winning day . The Manly Winning Way !

I mean it is pretty clear how he feels here

Also is there a world where he is defending a cent but plays much like he did for NSW where he has a free role?
Spot on mate. We already seen 1 of the best attacking plays of the year was when Koula popped up on the right side of the field against Penrith. Hopefully we see some similar plays with Turbo this weekend

This makes me strongly believe that some of these changes and decisions have come from above him. The Penn's aren't ones to sit back and watch... For better, or, as it usually is, for worse.

Looking like it'll be this from all accounts:
1. Lehi
2. Talau (left)
3. Koula (left)
4. Turbo (right)
5. Garrick (right)

For my OCD's sake, I hope they don't put Garrick in the 2. That'll make me want Seibold sacked immediately.

Anyway, Saab's ego probably needs to be dropped, but apparently he's injured again? Classic Saab.

I unfortunately don't think we have the forward stocks to win this one, unless Lodge and TKO magically return to 2018 form. That said, they had Royce Hunt starting for a period. It can always be worse.

I hope the move for Tom works. I don't like it - he's currently (whooops, was) our best player for his position. The move gives a perception of desperation, even if you argue that it's not - and perception goes a long way. For me, Manly defence has been their biggest concern for three years. If I was looking for an overhaul (techniques, training, personnel), that's where I'd focus. If Tom needs to be more involved in the game, then surely that's about tactics, attacking setups, etc?

Good luck to Lehi however - he's earned his chance. I just don't buy into moving Tom to accommodate Lehi at fullback is the best move. Very happy to wear egg on my face for this one, but it just doesn't sit right with me shifting Tom to centre.

Tom will be a centre for a few rounds. He'll score some tries and be man O The Match and then they'll put him back to FB. I like Talau in the team. Seems a no nonsense type. What is it btw, with Turbo taking up the last run before a kick? Anyone? He should be lurking out wide or deep ready to create carnage. Anyways, I hope we get a win this week and Turbo does well. He is the best player this club has had in my 50 plus years of watching, but he needs a good run now of no injury and to win something ...

Hope this is permanent. IMO gives us a really potent three quarter line with the bonus of hsving Garrick play where he should be playing.
Levi is a superstar.

With a conventional halfback like Fogarty feeding these guys I think we could lay claim to a top 4 backline.

Forwards are disgraceful. Fix that please and we are in business.
