Don't know if anyone picked up on this but if you read carefully this article reveals Lyon is going to be 5/8, and he is already training for the position.

Lyon averages 19 tackles a game think he will be right seeing as in one game this year he made 30 tackles. He regularly makes 20+ tackles a game I think he is still our best option. Has a great kicking game and passing is great. Also has a great chip and chase, aswell as a combo between he, snake and DCE.

Lyon may have lost a little speed from 8 seasons ago but he has lost none of his skill and he has become a smarter and more creative player . So its a case of age shall not weary him for our captain . No one in our squad has better skills than Lyon to be as dominant as him at 5/8 feathered friend

Nine years ago. His body isn't up to it. And he knows it, that's why he doesn't want to play there. If we want a full year out of Killer throwing him in at five eight is not the go.
