Not on here but surprisingly I have read a few plaudits on Twitter tonight.

However 99% of fans feel exactly as we do.

I saw Andrew Voss gave him a nice suck up job on Twitter saying what a personable bloke he was and praising him for being approachable by anyone from club staff to the fans.

A few people gave Voss what for over that. Not many agreed with him.

Damn, he stepped down before they could can him :(
Do I still get to say that I called it?

We all know that his job was hanging by a thread anyway, but from what I am hearing, the straw that broke the camels back came last week when the NRL promised all the clubs a certain amount of money from a hardship fund and each ended up being short changed by the tune of around $31,000. A few not so happy club CEO's rang V'landy's to voice their displeasure and to say that he was pissed off would be an understatement.

Word I have heard is that Greenturd was then given two choices. Walk or be sacked.

Woohoo!

ding dong the [insert bad word here] is dead! - oops just saw about 40 of us all posted the ole ding dong cheer! lol

When the going gets tough....the burg leaves before the extent of his 'accounting' can be found out. A job waiting for the broncos with that skill.

Hopefully he takes sCam with him.

Oh happy days!!!! One of the most agenda driven, revenge seeking, bank account padding, biased filled jerks ever to be involved with the nrl.

I just hope there's not some other cushy league related job waiting for him somewhere.

A total fraud.

Gone!

woot!!!!

"Peter V’landys woke Monday morning at 5am to find an email from a disgruntled club chief executive complaining about NRL boss Todd Greenberg and his senior executives.
About eight hours later, Greenberg resigned … or was pushed."

I wonder will Andrew Abdo replace Greenbergs senior executives with his own men, the Abdomen. Let's hope the Abdomen have the intestinal fortitude to do what's right for the game.

I wonder if there will be more casualties. I don’t expect that the decisions made by Greenberg were without support from other members of the commission.

Will they have the stomach for the job, Moondog? Let's hope their efforts don't go to waist - I mean waste.

Abdo is being touted as the favourite to get the job fulltime. Apparently he's a financial whiz but so was David Smith. No mention of him knowing anything about football...after some of the abysmal CEO's we've had recently it'd be nice for them to take the time to get it right. It'd be hard to find a worse contender than Greenberg but I thought that about Gallop
Meet the contenders: Financial guru gets shot at NRL’s top job

A South African born commercial guru is now tasked with leading the NRL through one of the most turbulent times in the game’s history.
Andrew Abdo has long been touted as Todd Greenberg’s replacement and the game’s chief commercial officer will get his chance to shine after being appointed interim boss.
Abdo has been in his role for the past six years and generated commercial revenue growth of about $200 million last year.
His brief includes coming up with marketing campaigns for the season launch, locking in grand final entertainment and everything else that comes with promoting the game.
Other responsibilities include commercial revenues such as sponsorship, bringing in new brands and commercialising the digital network.

Abdo led the relaunch of the controversial Simply The Best campaign earlier this year and helped secure superstar Macklemore to perform at the NRL grand final in 2017.

He joined the NRL having spent 15 months as a director of Deloitte — his first job in Australia. He has a bachelor of business science, accounting and finance from the Cape Town University and a master of business administration from the Pretoria University.

Abdo has quickly built the trust of ARLC chairman Peter V’landys and is held in high opinion by most in clubland and members on the commission.

He has played a large part in discussions with the game’s broadcast partners and led a meeting with Fox Sports executives last week.

Just an aside ... last night I heard the experts, when asked why GreenTurd had to go, respond with because he had lost the support of the clubs, and because he had lost the support of the broadcasters, and because he had lost the support of the commission, and because of his financial management ...

It is telling that not one of these numbnuts mentioned ... he had lost the support of the overwhelming number of fans .... when you keep on disenfranchising fans, and even the rusted on hoards talk about walking away .... it was well past the time the cocksmoker should have been tapped on the shoulder ...

Who are you? Are you lost? This is the Se Eagles supporters forum.
C*** would have seen the end of Manly if he had his way.

The PR*** has 500,000 reasons to be OK

He's probably Mary Konstantopoulos, who writes articles for Roar, in disguise. Mary writes some interesting and worthy articles, but she is a Parramatta tragic and thinks the sun shines out of Greenberg's a....

Careful what you wish for. Now the broncos and storm CEOs are being talked about. Also Abdo - in the paper on the weekend it said he has 70 staff - that is an insane amount of people. Talk about bloated head office.

This to me sounds like Abdo has been doing all the work behind the scenes and Greenturd's been trying to get all the praise. The true Turd has finally been revealed and it stinks.
Good riddance you $#*%wit
Whose going to look after the slime now... lol

Certainly was personable, but only when it came to a certain type of player, as Inglis, Sam Burgess and Cameron Smith can attest to, no favours whatsoever given to Manly players though.
He caused mass inflation in the coaching ranks when he snatched Hasler from us, it wasn't hard to do considering he offered him more than double he was getting from us, he was lucky as the mangy Dogs had a leagues club that was prepared to pour in over $5 million every year for very little result over the past 25 years, great business sense.

They finally got rid of the life threatening Greenburg epidemic at NRL Headquarters
Our game now has a chance to recover and grow to its full potential

I'd prefer someone like this guy who hasn't got strong ties to a club, such as the Donkeys and Storm. I've read their respective CEO's are in contention.
Imagine if either of these two got the top job. It would be worse than Greenturd.
