Tonight was our gutsiest backs-to-the-wall performance as underdogs since that match.

Souths unstoppable giants just installed as premiership faves. No Snake, no Gift, shattered by last week's loss, scarcely a proper front-rower to our name.

The main difference was that this time I was not surprised in the least. In fact I thought Souths were lucky to get as close as they did.
