Not as if this is an overnight thing that has popped up but been an issue for about 10+ years.

I don’t get why some people think we aren’t a chance on this, from what I remember hearing if the 2024 release was granted he would have been a Sea Eagle then. Probably explains DCE’s strange release request also in the 2024 off season

Galvin and his management have knocked back the offer the Tigers made, they want to test his value on the open market.

The narrative that Galvin has announced he is leaving the club at 2026 is not his doing, that was done by the Tigers who thought they put their best offer to him, they released the club announcement saying Galvin won’t be there beyond 2026.

I’m just struggling to understand why he would want to come.

We have a few ex Tigers in our staff that he respects that were a big reason why he extended with them in the 1st place. His manager will probably tell him it’s the right place to go as well since he’s got a few clients here already including the coach. Most of all I think he doesn’t enjoy being at the west tigers club for whatever reason, last year it was reported he was telling friends he can’t wait to leave.

100%. A few years ago the excuse was not to upset the players and let them do what they want because the Wallabies would poach them. All bull****. These player managers need to be put back in their box. If a player pulls the homesick card or is busted talking to another club with more than 6 months left under contract or before RD 12 in the season then boot him straight to reggies until contract over with immediate cap relief to the club for that players value. Not really sure any of that would work but in theory maybe something along those lines could. Heavy fines and points deductions too for clubs.
