As long as it isn't Garrick or Walker. I have seen a lot of people mention Walker, but the times I have seen him play there (not many to be fair) he was horrible. He is a strike centre so lets keep him there.

For me, Walker at fullback would keep Parker and Suli in the centres, as well as keeping Walker out of the halves. Not the greatest option but the best solution I can think of.

I know people will say injury has placed us in this position. But Fainu has been out for 2 years soon with legal proceedings. Tom never (or very rarely) makes the field, so I consider this our team these days. It's just a pleasant surprise when Tom DOES play I guess on the rare occassion.

I think we all like Funa - he's a handy workman line player but if he's our first choice backup for 2021 we are in big trouble.

We should be using this bad news as an opportunity to blood a legitimate replacement down the line so the team doesn't completely collapse when Tom goes down.

Funa is not the answer if we are serious about 2021 aspirations.

It will be Funa, and I'd be ok with that as he certainly improves by the end of the year. I would like to see Koula given a shot from the get go as he is a speedster, even Weekes who I rate highly; however, that is not Desmond's style.

I know what you say about walker. His second stint at 6 was way better than his first stint. Maybe the same with fullback. Our centres dont get much good ball and he needs to be part of the action if we are to have a good season.

Hopefully foran helps out in regard to ball but if not he is just banging it out of our quarter and chasing mid field bombs . Seems a waste

He also needs to be in the game to play well as he is both competitive and prone to error. Once he gets ruffled up a bit he fires up and likes to overcome the agitator and we need that walker.

historically he has been an average number 1 though

There are two outstanding junior fullbacks in our squad who both have more speed than Albert. We don't know exactly why Albert left, but it's likely there was an unresolvable situation with his family. Apart from that, he was not impressive in his five NRL games last year.

I'm 80% it will be Funa....but I rate Koula a long term gun player who could get the chance to impress this Sunday's trial....bloke is a freakish talent, though in the deep end Rd 1 vs Roosters is a tough gig....I'm happy enough either way, but p###ed with the same story each season with Tom's hamstrings....Tuipulotu and Saab maybe a sneaky option, but most likely play on the wings....I really, really hope it's not Garrick at FB - for goodness sake.

I think Funa will get the nod but I actually voted for Koula because of the ability he's shown in lower grades, he's a natural fullback and I wouldn't mind seeing Des give him a crack, if he's good enough he's old enough IMO
