Friday's Trail

Phew !! ..just fixed the Foxtel IQ3 box, got onto tec support ie; overseas call centre, and after waiting on hold for an hour and a half. Told me to check the TV connections, saw one half hanging out, then realized my cat had a little walk behind the screen yesterday. Gone from total desperation to elation, wow !! time for a coldy.
Cats are dicks

Wayne should do better?
"Toula Koula heads the list of exciting youngsters named in the squad,"
Have heard him called kahlua but never heard him called 'Toula' before. Nickname or typo??

Some omissions are self-explanatory, being Croker (injured), Schuster (injured), Harper & Walker (played last week).
Notable omissions are Jake, Saab, Taufua, Davey, Sione Fainu and I'm inclined to think maybe they've got Covid. Other than possibly injured, can't think of any other plausible reason...

Do we have another trial next week? .. a game each maybe

I just hope that the commentators (who definitely won't be A list) give us a good idea of who we're watching. Trials can be incredibly confusing with all the newbies.

As Fox are covering I assume they role out their commentary team

Very interested to see how Bullemor goes in the 2nd row - the club website article also made a point of mentioning this. If he goes well........really well.............that's huge for us this year.

We didn't dominate all that often in the forwards last year, particularly against Melbourne, Souths, Penrith - and look how that played out. A better year from Marty, Oshay Olay, Paseka, Toff, Boyle......and the unlucky Andrew Davey - with an on-fire Bullemor thrown in........!! (Not forgetting Keppie the Enforcer).

Jake will be Jake, and Schmole will only get even better. Win the go-forward, win the centre defense,.....win the middle of the field. Schuster - wherever he plays - can be the cream on the cake. Croaker - more (unexpected) dummy-half runs, changing the point of the attack. Walker - last 20 minutes of the first half - zippy runs up against a tiring middle; 2nd half - wherever / whenever needed.

Get the above right, and our backs will be (even more) lethal. It gives them space and time - that's all we need for a bucketful of points most games. Optimistic, I know, but it's that time of year again!!

I'm a bit disappointed that Taufua's name isn't mentioned on there.
The pictures of him during preseason look like he's buffed up a lot, and I was interested how they were going to use him.
It is a long season ahead and all Jorge can do is play well and an opportunity will present it self
