Exemptions granted for roster deadline

Very little on this forum is 'necessary'. If anything!
And I don't doubt that snake has better intel than I, but he ain't infallible, that was merely my snide remark!

He inspired them through providing an example of how not to play football
To be fair, I do recall Jake etc raving on about his help during training 🙂

The pace of the game just overtook him, so Bozo just got it wrong 😎

I still blame the NRL's subjective rulings in counting his contract as part of our Cap in 2018 - makes no sense :banghead:

The pace overtook him as the team walked onto the field

How is it, that Nate isn't the storms problem?

I don't know if this is correct but it SEEMS like the Storm took over Miles' services for the remainder of the 2017 ONLY , (paying a part of his contract, us paying the rest) then was to resume the 2018 portion of his contract to us, with us, or be moved on again..
Was he "sub-leased" to the Storm? Maybe him retiring during that sub-leased period means he can sit out the rest of the period he is contracted to us and we can do nothing about it because it didn't happen under our watch..

It would be really sneaky but nothing would surprise me anymore.

If that was the case why would we bother. I mean surely Myles would of been better in blacktown then us just doing storm a favour for no apparent reason

I don't know much but I do know that just isn't right.

Maybe we called him "a loss" and tried to recoup some of his ridiculous 500k a year contract. I don't know anything mate, just putting things together and extrapolating.

I would hardly call conning the Storm into paying part of his contract "doing them a favour".@:)

My understanding is that he was on $500k a year contract for manly starting 2016. He was released by Manly to the storm 21 june 17, before the 30 June deadline where you need to announce your 30 player squad under the cap. I suppose we were paying a percentage of his contract till the end of 2018. Now if he announces his retirement surely we are not legally obligated to pay him / whatever portion was agreed upon between manly and storm.? He's opened up his Gym now and enjoying the good life at our expence. Like others have said, make him work for it, farken cut the grass at brookie, promote the club, wash the player's socks jocks, join the cheerleader squad.. i don't care. We shouldn't be paying the useless farker especially given his abysmal performances for our club.

We don't want myles back, I thought he was one of the ones whinging about not receiving his TPAs from his time at Manly

surely if he retires through injury that is an insurance thing and not a club must pay out his contract thing. Whatever better paying him to not play than paying him to play for us

He was released before he signed with the storm. we may have agreed to pay the Storm a part of his salary but our contract with Myles was terminated. I don't see how we would have to pay him anything.

32 Origin games for QLD
9 Tests for Australia
234 NRL Games

Nate had a great career; if you want to blame anyone for his performance at Manly, blame our club who signed him in the late twighlight of this great career.

Before his was sent packing to Melbourne he was doing a lot better than the likes of Lussick. Criticism of him on here has always been way over the top.
