Exemptions granted for roster deadline

It's fine to pay out a player, but it can't be part of the Cap (eg Choc), as the player is not on the field from Season Start.
Exactly. Same happened to Brenton Lawrence at the titans this year. Decided to retire but his salary won't be part of the titans cap for 2018. Club still has to pay out the contract I think, if medical or forced to retire usually covered by teams insurance.

Medical retirements only apply to favourite clubs, we aren’t one of those.

This is nothing but a ****ing joke, paying people to sit on the sidelines for two years now!!
He is medically retired from the Storm’s cap but not for us. He stubbed a toe at Melbourne which forced him into retirement; however, said toe was in perfect health whilst at Manly hence no cap exemption.

My recollection of this was Myles wanted a release to go to Melbourne because his wife was down there and so it suited us the deal was we paid % of the freight but he was released and so were we. it was only for the year and then he retired due to being not up to it etc
End of story
I could be wrong but that's what I thought happened

Who was the bright spark that decreed Myles would be manly’s inflatable toy?

He had zero manly cred, and was in the barely flickering twilight of a career spent elsewhere.

If I recall correctly - he was the carrot that DCE needed to take 1.3 million a year of Penns money to stay @Manly

They were "origin" best buddies.

Well you are mostly right!!!

Its just that Melb basically paid him for 2017, (less our %) on a 1 year deal.

But like my favorite little riff journeyman poo, he was contracted to us for 2018.

Ergo - we need to pay him it seems.

Not sure where the medical retirement was mentioned, but Melb said - no need for him in 2018 and they had no obligation to pay him.

Back to Manly - yay

That was just a Media contrived angle to make Chez out to be a Diva and keep Fiz.😡
Fiz meanwhile had all the 'honourable man' articles written about him.

Manly kept the right half

If @Snake agrees with your post I'll happily stand corrected.

Then I will laugh myself silly thinking that the entirety of the MWSE recruitment/ coaching and board thought it a good idea to pay a bloke who plays 1-3 good games a year for QLD 550K for 3 years at 30.

The only people who really laughed at Mr Plod being at Manly were the Titans fans lol.

Myles was recruited to inspire our very inexperienced pack.
Off field reports of him were more positive than his onfield efforts 😕

Sadly he 'retired from active duty' whilst being paid 🙁

He inspired them through providing an example of how not to play football

Pretty sure your guru said Moylan was a done deal at Manly. Or maybe he only said 99%.

I'm happy that my "guru" knows more than you, based on posts that seem relevant.
Your post seems to me quite irrelevant.

I have my own opinion. Someone completely disagreed with it. Happy to be corrected - but your smart arse reply is not necessary.
