The everyone gets a prize is so bad these days that kids pretty much get an award at school just for breathing .......

Its not new, this prize for participation has been on the go in schools for years, my kids left Primary 18 years ago, and back then, at a cross country race, No1 son was a footy field in front after the first circuit, as he passed the Sports Teacher, the teacher yelled "slow down James you are too far in front", my impulse was to deck the idiot, instead I yelled "James, Go Mate don't stop, No Mercy Son". YOU CAN'T MAKE CHAMPIONS IF EVERYBODY GETS A PRIZE.

I dont think he would be a good attacking coach (imo penrith just had a good attacking squad). He doesn’t know how to build a proper halves combo and the attack is generally very stale when there is no second-phase happening

But I think he is good at being a morale coach (aka a pretty face to act like he’s doing a job, but really just builds good relationships with the players, then inevitably signs a fair few of them when he gets given a contract as head coach elsewhere ). He is all talk and that’s how he got where he is. His big act is transparent to me in his bulldog post-loss press conferences

Then there's his coaching record which is absolutely diabolical. He is an enigma though - how he has managed to garner media support through each catastrophe is elite level marketing.
