Wonder if we got any of that money at the start of the year when we didn't really have a sponsor.

Penn is spot on. The game is making plenty of money. If it was distributed fairly the clubs would not be making losses.

The game should be financially self-sufficient. There is no reason why it should be relying on Leagues Club and poker machine revenue to survive, which is effectively what is happening now.

Given there are 16 "greedy" NRL clubs, the headline isn't balanced at all.

Broncos are the only club making money, and little wonder. The NRL has given them huge advantages over Sydney-based clubs.
The Broncos don't need the NRL handout, so share this among the other 15 teams. If the Broncos don;t like this idea then the NRL can threaten to introduce two new clubs in Brisbane. I think they'd opt for the first option of being the only fish in a very large sea.

The game is funded fully by the NRL comp and the clubs should get enough that they at least break even mostly.
14 of 16 clubs run at a lose. This si no acceptable.
And where is all the rest of the money going? Wasted on admin and also on ARL Development which is a other issue.

The costs of playing JRL is most areas does not seem to be funded by RL bodies. In fact the deals done with "offical" suppliers to QLR and NSWRL make it more expensive. Buy a set of jeresys from a approved supplier and that costs 50% more then buying the same product from someone who it not.

IC needs to cut this crap out. Too much of the $s rasied from NRL is pissed agasint the wall.

If it was only 3 or 4 clubs making a lose or that msot loses were minnor loses onces in awhile it would be ok.
