If we win tonight I'll be surprised, but delighted.
Very delighted I'd say, and add me to that mix.

I've been accused by many as being "down" on the side.....not really I must say just being realistic at our chances.

Wet weather........we rarely ever win

St Merge............seem to have our measure EVEN when we are at full strength

Depleted player list...that's just the icing on the cake (for St Merge)

Love to see a win but realistically , St Merge 13 plus

going to be some re-starts to the tackle count today.
this is from today's telegraph:

Here’s proof of inconsistency in the refereeing ranks around the policing of the new six-again restarts.

The figures clearly show some whistle blowers are much harsher than others.

Going into this weekend, grand final ref Ben Cummins had ruled only six per game, while Adam Gee and Chris Buttler had more than 10. Referees will never entirely be on the same page in making decisions in an area of the game that is so subjective. Yet fans and teams are entitled to get consistency wrestling or interference at the play the ball.

We really need a win to get our season back in track.

ST merge have been crap all year so a loss today will be tough to swallow.

Wet track wont work in our favour. Possession will be critical. Need to start strong as the rain moves in will make it hard to chase.

DCE will need to up his short kicking game.

I am going to be a bit more 'less positive' than i have been so far this year because i have been way off the mark with my predictions.

1st Half - Manly struggle to create any points out of multiple repeat sets down Dragons end. With a wealth of possession and a few lucky calls they still couldn't produce any points, whilst the Dragons, on the back of their dominating defence managed to score 2 converted tries.

Half Time - Dragons 12 - Manly 0

2nd Half - The Dragons manage to keep Manly well contained for the majority of the 2nd half. The defence of both teams was outstanding, high intensity until Manly suddenly sprung to life in the 65th minute, scoring 3 tries in the final 15 minutes.

Full Time - Manly 16 - Dragons 12

That's pretty much been the game plan for the last month anyway!!

Buggered if I know why.

Torrential rain by kickoff predicted. Maybe we can hope it's called off for another 8 weeks. Otherwise Goons x 16.
Good morning @mickqld No Great Storm can ever extinguish our Great Manly spirit
Have a great day feathered friend and enjoy our Victory !

I will admit I'd be happier if this was today's lineup.....

Elliot, Taufua, Parker, Suli, Garrick, Cust, Cherry-Evans, Keppie, Croker, Taupau, Thompson, Sironen, Trbojevic. Bench - Levi, Paseka, Boyle, Waddell.

But I'm not there, I'm not the coach and I don't see what goes on day to day with the squad. Des knows a hell of a lot more about it than I ever will.
I understand where you are coming from feathered friend
but
Its not how we line up
it comes down to
How we aim up
Fire up Manly !!!

Amazing how many times its fine weather for days leading up to kickoff in our games and then down it comes. When it rains, we go to water.

I would pick that exact same squad.

And trust us just watching the Eels / Knights play in perfect conditions with a massive storm heading their way and you can guarantee it’ll be already raining in Sydney.

I’ll be happy for just a win tonight by 1or by 20
Be it scrappy or clinical not a must win but a win is a must for there confidence
GO MANLY
