MATCH PREVIEW:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Manly have played the Dragons at Jubilee Kogarah 9 times since they merged with Illawarra at the end of 1998 for the start of the 1999 season.

Since the merge, Manly have played them at Kogarah in:
  • 2004 (Round 25) and lost 36 - 34,
  • 2007 (Round 16) and lost 26 - 22,
  • 2010 (Round 23) and lost 32 - 10,
  • 2010 (Finals - Week 1) and lost 28 - 0,
  • 2012 (Round 4) and lost 17 - 6,
  • 2013 (Round 8) and won 18 - 24,
  • 2014 (Round 19) and won 12 - 21
  • 2020 (Round 9) and lost 34 - 4, and
  • 2022 (Round 19) and lost 20 - 6.

Prior to the merge, Manly played the Dragons 24 times at Kogarah between 1950 and 1996.

Out of those 24 games, Manly had only won 8 games, had 15 losses and 1 draw.

The Geoff Toovey years looking pretty decent in that list. IIRC Taufua had to play fullback in one of those wins and it was on a Monday night at a time when our Monday night win % was crappola

Sorry, I have to disagree. I want all matches completed for the round by the end of the week, which is Sunday evening. Monday is a dud night. Most restaurants are shut. Crowds are poor. It just feels like an afterthought, and I'm sure players hate it.
NFL got Monday night footy at the request of bookmakers.
They saw that people stopped gambling on Sunday. They thought that people might try to get their weekend losses back if there was a game on monday

They are coates meaney and katoa all rested and grant out with Roosters needing the win I see them more motivated on Friday than storm more to play for
Aren't they celebrating Bellyache's massive amount games that he's coached, what ever it is. It'll be sold out again and no Walker for the Roosters either. Storm have big NAS on the bench, he'll want to prove something with the finals coming up. Still have Storm winning this tho.
