Does anyone else find it bonkers that we are 1 win away from 5th?

Yeah like everybody is saying - we're ordinary and we'll most likely be shown to be just that in the next 4 weeks. I don't expect us to make the 8 ( Roosters and Sharks will go past us ) but what's frustrating if there was no sideshow this year it's the sort of comp where we could have done some damage IMO.... but anyhow.

Reality check coming....

Just consider that we actually have the 3rd best defense in the league at the moment. Something we haven't had for many years.
Wow, there's one that snuck up on me.
Conceding 20.1 points per game
Last year we conceded 21.7.
Doesn't sound like much but going in the right direction at least.

That is surprising but can only say that in the critical or vital missed tackle category , Manly would not be faring that well there .
Especially against some of the lesser rated or lower positioned line ups
We're 12th , Storm is 17th. Not too bad. Rabbits and Tigers 1st and 2nd for missed tackles.

Under the current 17 teams and 24 rounds, 8th place has been 32 points in 2023 and 30 points in 2024.

In 2023 & 24 the 4th place team was on 38.

Manly are currently on 22 points with 8 games left and no byes.

For some wacky reason I think Manly will win all 8, securing a home final at Allianz where they will lose to the Roosters.

Wacky Backy 🚬

10 out of a possible 10 points secured while Haumole was injured is absolutely massive for our season. Felt like we’d be in a bit of trouble without him. Also nice to maybe see some consistency. 3 wins in a row for the first time this year, and that 3rd win being against Melbourne in Melbourne. Looks much much better than it did after the Titans game. Gotta keep it up though, doesn’t get any easier in the next few weeks!

I actually think the team has played better without Tom at fullback and haumole in the team because it takes away the mentality of pass it to those two guys and they will just do something.

They are such weapons that they are a crutch at times for the team

SHOWTIME MANLY toughest road trip in da comp and we did it, well done lads. Out of the game left we came away with the most unlikely, the rest will be walk in da park if we play to our full potential.
