Does anyone else find it bonkers that we are 1 win away from 5th?

all to play for - and if we are good enough, we will get our reward!

I think our injury situation will determine our success. I wonder when we are likely to get everyone back (vs our draw.....) Anyone know?

Ok, so we’re in 8th on 20 points, currently 4 teams on 20 points.

Anyone going to say what the cut off for the eight will be? 30 - 32 points? Either would be a fair guess at this stage, maybe 28 but I doubt that.

If we work on 30, Manly need to win 4 of their last 8 to finish with 30 points, working on from the bye this weekend.

Here’s the task, find 4 wins, who knows maybe we can get away with 3 if the comp remains tight and the cut is 28, (I don’t see that) if anything I think there’s a greater possibility 32 will be the number, if so you will need to find 5 wins.

I feel certain 5 wins would all but guarantee a place in the 8, albeit in a sudden death week 1. I’d take that at this stage, anyway here’s hoping, we’re still alive in season 25.

Rd 19 Bye 22 points
Rd 20 Storm Away
Rd 21 Dogs Away
Rd 22 Rooster @ Home
Rd 23 Raiders Away
Rd 24 Tigers Away
Rd 25 Dolphins @ Home
Rd 26 Dragon Away
Rd 27 Warriors @ Home
My biggest concern isn't so much the teams we are playing as the lack of matches at home.

The Tigers, Dragons and Warriors (especially without Barnett and Metcalf) are all games that we can win. Roosters and Dogs are showing some cracks. Dolphins are two different teams depending on whether they are "on" or not. Storm and Raiders will be a challenge for sure, but both are beatable.

So really our destiny is in our own hands. Play well, win, make the finals. Or play poorly, lose, miss the 8.

Lodge and TKO are good enough to match it with any other starting pack. But we need Olakau'atu back ASAP!

In my opinion the two must win games are v the Dolphins and Chooks.
They are effectively four point games, especially the Dolphins with their superior F/A.
Minimum four wins, five should do it.

Chooks have to play Storm twice, Dogs and Dolphins

Dolphins have Raiders, Warriors, Broncos, Chooks so it's game on.

I feel that the Storm is a guaranteed loss. They’re just too good especially at home. Hopefully we can keep the score respectable for our f/a.

All the other games are winnable.

Sharks at home should win against the Dolphins to stay in the hunt for the 8th, that means we jump in to 7th by this week. Drags playing well lately almost won in Canberra, are at home to the Roosters if they win b good for us 2pts in front of both teams.

UPSET of the round Eels over the Pants then we jump in to 6th, Titans at home over the Broncos then we jump into 5th. ( Eagledare2dream guys don't mind me ) ;-)

If everything goes well for us (for a change), I think we can win our remaining home games and the Tigers' away game to finish on 30 points. We definitely won't beat the Storm and the Raiders away, but the Dogs and the Dragons away are also still possible.

Brookie games are the key, funnily enough I think we can get up for the Raiders and then trip over against the Tigers, given the effort that would go into the week before, we have a good record against Canberra especially in Canberra, we seem to play well in the capital winning 9 from 16, holding a superior win record over them at their home ground and overall which says a lot, however I’m not overly confident we will win this year, that’s a certainty, but expect we may surprise.

Jag one win away from home would help big time as long as we win our home games, anyway can’t say I’m confident, but here’s hoping.

Don't forget we're one of only 3 teams who've beaten the Faiders by 28pts mind you so we might have a chance there. Also we have a pretty good record down here in da ACT, lots of happy photos and good memories stumbling home after the game. I'll be there with the boys cheering them on as always. One of the only game I look forwards to every year 5mins from my house, getting to meet and chat with the players take heaps of photos like a kid in a candy store.

I've got us finishing 7th and playing the 6th placed Broncos at Suncorp..

If we win that we could play the 3rd place dogs
Who will lose against the 2nd place storm

Beat the dogs and we play 1st placed Raiders to get into the GF against the winner of 2nd placed Storm or 5th placed Panthers

And im saying we finish 7th with losses to
Storm Away Rd 20
Dogs Away rd 21
Raiders Away Rd 23

We have to win all other matches
But if Sharks or Broncos drop another game we could still finish 7th even if we loose 1 more game.

I'm happy with 7th or top 8 as long as I get to watch couple more game, means more beers. Hate watching the finals when we're not on show, it's just not the same feel..

A little but it is the tightest comp in years. That said, the next 4/5 weeks will go a long way to determine where we really sit as it is a very tough schedule and the losses to Parra/Knights/Titans I fear will come to bite us big time.
My exact thoughts. We really couldn't afford the form slump during our easiest patch. Hopefully it works in our favour and we can build up to finals form.
