Different coach at Manly next season?

They say the usually the team that wins field the smallest amount of players over a season.

You definitely need luck with injuries to win the comp but clubs with a strong culture remain competitive notwithstanding injuries. For Manly, I wouldn’t expect us to win the comp this year given the injuries but I expected us to be more competitive than we have been.

I hope there is a new coach. The current structure is suffocating DCE and has almost crushed his carrer. We have a great young squad. With only have a hand full of wins to our name this year.
I must say I do like how Baz wants us to chance our hand moving the ball around and offloading but that where it stops.
Our forwards get the job done most weeks but our structure is crap attacking the line. With the players we have we really shouldn't be struggling to put points on after winning the forward battle. 3 seasons in and sittings 13th is enough for me

Id support Madge coming in. Neil Henry not so much. The club needs a fresh start. In one word Discipline. Madge would bring that.

Personally I would like Shane Flanagan as coach. Sharks were a basket case when he took over and he has won their only premiership and kept them in the finals for years now.

Not sure how his relationship is with Gorman - I’d love for him to bring him over.

On field leaders are probably more important than injuries until your leaders are injured i suppose At least madges is aware of this. Henry never really impressed anyone and is part of this new fandangled coachy speak group that make footy sound like rocket surgery and there results show it

Honestly some coaches sound like they are trying to turn footy into the art scene or the wine industry by propogating a new language of self importance. While this clap trap may impress ageing ceo's hungry for success, it the old school less complicated coaches that own premierships

Hell they they even infiltrated silvertails

We need a coach that can fix

A crap game plan that means wingers, centres and props are the grunt men
Second rowers are not your go to for try scoring opportunities solely. We dont even know how good our centres could be

Of the current squad i would have jake,thommo and afb as our leadership group. Api possibly but no one else demonstrates leadership on field

Also until api is our bench option to cover hooker, and half we are going no where. Good little player but he is a benchy and if our team can afford that luxury we will be going well
