Yep... but he also had an elite fb in the side called Turbo who was missing in the earlier rounds. Imagine if he gets his other centre back. Still, last week wasn’t that bad, an eight point loss to the premiers in round 2 is hardly diabolical, and a vast improvement to the 56-26 flogging we copped at Brookie the last time that we played them.

There was attitude in our defence, something we have not seen in a long time. The Warriors can be very dangerous and that spell after half time defensively it broke their hearts, already a big improvement that was dished out last season.

What really concerns me. After our blokes kept the warriors out, in the second half, our boys had done nothing but tackle for a bunch of sets. And DCE next kick wasn't even looking for the side line, and to give his team mates a rest. Still plenty to do on the game Management.

We scored a few consolation tries after letting a side missing 1/2 their spine get out to a 26 to NIL lead whilst they were missing another of the spine injured and beat a bottom 6 team who has 1 win so far against the spoon favourites.

btw if you haven't been supporting us the last few years we have had injury riddled seasons every year we have missed the 8 going back to Tooves sacking.

Far out... he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. They defended really well, were much better with the ball in hand, and finally had a backline which resembled the one that they had trained with during the entire off season. What would you have liked to have seen unfold today?

Tooves finished ninth in the season he missed the finals... Baz finished 15th with a bullet.
