Apparently DCE has been left out of the 17 completely. Gone with Cleary, Hunt and Grant.

I'll give Evans this, he'll keep putting in, in the training sessions and be a supportive team member, for the next week and a half.

I don't think DCE's form is slipping, it's more that Cleary has proved his case over the last couple of years and merits the spot.
And yes some of DCE's physical abilities will inevitably diminish as he ages, but his smarts may actually improve. You can't buy experience and he has that in spades in a vital position.

Those smarts are multiplied if others want to follow

But I also think he may not be the best leader and got it by default some years back when B we needed someone to play the role on and off the field

I think our Last real leader was Killer and now is Jake

Choc was good and so was the brothers and Kieran but nothing went down with out killer knowing
