I think we are just digging a deeper and deeper hole for ourselves, at this point anyway.

We are adding monikers ( Giraffe and Turtle ) not whittling them down!

As for the race between DCE and Sid...Well it's clearly still ''neck and neck'' at the moment...!

What poll results are you looking at?

Currently, the "DCE" option (21 votes or 37.50%) is nearly closer to double that of the "Sid" option (13 votes or 23.21%).

If you disregard the "Chez" and "Other" votes and just use the current combined 34 votes against the "DCE" and "Sid" options, the result is "DCE" 21 votes or 61.76% to "Sid" 13 votes or 38.24%

The other way of looking at the current poll result is that if you combine the "Chez" and "Other" votes into one option, it shows that 22 voters or 39.29% don't like either of the "DCE" or "Sid" options.

Using my analysis above, whatever way you look at the poll, the "Sid" option is clearly the loser.

As for the poll itself, I would have rather seen it smaller option wise with maybe a choice of "Sid" or "Other (DCE, Chez, Chezza, Turtle, etc. and post your choice) or even a "Yes" or "No" question about calling him "Sid". That way we would have seen a more truer indication towards the "Sid" option.

Alas it is true...From those who care enough to vote (and I still haven't) do prefer something other than Sid.

I just suspect it won't stop the occasional use of it (Sid) and again I'll say, it doesn't bother me much either way.

OK. In an effort to show I'm both loyal and a free-thinker, I have jumped off my fence and voted...

However. As a direct statement on the fiercely divided debate over ''DCE'' or ''Sid'' I have voted with my conscience and actually opted for...''Chez'' !

Of the two (DCE or Sid) I quite like Sid.

But nevertheless, the unpleasantness and acrimony around the election has forever soured the crop for me.

From now on, it's Chez for me folks!
