@Ryan

You were the one complaining about a 'drinking culture' at Manly last year.

These are some of JTJ's publicised alcohol related incidents while playing for the Broncos alone (after being sacked from 2 clubs for alcohol rated incidents previously).

How do these compare?

I don't know. I see what you're saying. But I think as a group, that's been corrected (to a degree). Why not have Roberts around gentlemen like the Trbojevic's (who he knows from Origin), Thompson, Waddell & Garrick. They seem to enjoy all the basic things in life like golfing, chilling, coffee, dog walks etc. Then add Des in, who can mentor and assist him.

As weird as this sounds, I could see Manly becoming a refuge for some .... well ..... players that are in need of TLC.

We used to have that culture with absolute gems in Galuvao, Kite and many others.

CUT-PRICE DEAL
Would you take James Roberts at your club for $100,000?

It seems plenty won't.

Despite the Broncos' willingness to pay the majority of the Jet's 2019 wage to be rid of him, there haven't been a heap of takers.

Perhaps most clubs assume he will cost them a pile and haven't bothered asking the price tag.

Or maybe they consider Roberts is just not worth the trouble

Jimmy the Jet is the new Hayne Plane - high maintenance and escalating off field challenges :nerd:

Interesting that the story on JTJ that is running in DT and on news.com.au (I realise it's the same recycled crap) do not specifically mention Manly as a suitor but have SEA EAGLES as the topic banner on front page??
Would give us some fire power but surely the risk to team harmony would be high...
