Now they're sending players and staff who live in South Western Sydney for tests. I actually think it makes sense for all teams to move to Qld.
Agree and it would be easy enough to accommodate them across venues on the coast (s) like twin waters, coolum, royal pines etc. plenty of stadiums too like sunny coast (melb are playing their next three there), redcliffe, suncorp, Cbus, Townsville. Could even use ballymore! Bloody great venue and would luv to see manly run out there! Could base 2 teams up in Townsville with the cows. Another 2 on the sunny coast with Melb, nz and Canberra up in Toowoomba to make them feel like home. Base another 3 in Bris and the other 2 on the Gold Coast with the titans. That would only leave parramatta left who could be based in Longreach or perhaps cooktown and be made to travel to Brisbane by horse and coach for each game. Only then will it make up for the leg up they’ve already been given!

Manly coach Des Hasler resigned to the fact he won't have Addin Fonua-Blake when his team head to Queensland next week due to vaccination policy. Would become a real issue if teams are forced to move there long-term this season. Story on @AAPNewswire #NRL

Manly prop Addin Fonua-Blake is set to miss a third straight match on top of his two-game suspension due to his refusal to have a flu vaccination.

Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler confirmed on Friday that the Tongan international was still yet to have the vaccination, which is part of the NRL's biosecurity measures brought in when the ARL Commission restarted the Telstra Premiership in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Manly are due to travel to Townsville next Friday to play the Cowboys and the Queensland Government will not allow any player or staff member into the state without having the flu vaccination.

Fonua-Blake has been sidelined last week and this week after receiving a two-game ban for his foul-mouthed tirade against referee Grant Atkins in the recent loss to Newcastle in which he used a derogatory term about the disabled community.

He just needs to get a hold of Danii Minogue's doctor who will apparently write a medical reason for anything!

Funny but Plucka Duck was on the TV in the last week saying that Flu Shots to enter Queensland wasn’t required!!

Admittedly she was referencing coming through the borders but how is this any different ??

I think it’s inevitable that the borders with NSW will be closed again and equally inevitable that the NRL will have to move to Queensland just like the AFL is doing.

What isn’t inevitable is that the competition could be called off again , it is however quite possible!!

Fark it, Parras on top of the ladder, cancel the season now!!

Borders closed to NSW/Sydney. What does this mean for the comp? 2 idiots returned to QLD and lied about where they’d been. Been mingling in community with symptoms for 8 days. Shocking! Comps days are numbered you would think.

I've given it more thought:

1) suspend Qld teams until next year - bye bye - thank your Premier for her knee-jerk reaction.

2) We need 3 more teams -

3) Split Wests Tigers into Balmain and Wests for rest of the year.

4) Elevate Norths and Newtown

5) Share players from the other clubs' top 30s to make up the numbers for the 3 replacement clubs.

NRL officials have kicked off urgent talks with the Queensland government after Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk declared Greater Sydney a COVID-19 hotspot and said the the state's borders would close to Sydney residents.

From 1am on Saturday, Sydney residents will not be permitted to enter Queensland following an outbreak north of the border, although it is unclear what the latest development means for the NRL and the Queensland-based Telstra Premiership fixtures.

Not bad, but we need something that gives everyone a fair chance.
I suggest a knockout comp between team captains at rock paper scissors, with The Bunker as adjudicator, Voss as commentator, and the Roosters to get an extra chance, in recognition of their management being so er, um, er, excellent and competent!
