Have to remain optimistic but its hard to imagine there won't be further outbreaks. I'll enjoy each round we get, just in case.

Well, at least 7 games of each round anyway.
I think it’s inevitable that the borders with NSW will be closed again and equally inevitable that the NRL will have to move to Queensland just like the AFL is doing.
What isn’t inevitable is that the competition could be called off again , it is however quite possible!!
The world has underestimated this virus from its outset. Over a half a million dead world wide and millions infected. We continue to underestimate it and there will be further lockdowns. A great many people don’t bother with social distancing and images of crowds outside of pubs, crowds at protests, crowded Restaurants at Barangaroo that I saw for myself And people I see brushing past one another in the street. No crowds at games soon and if player or players test positive the season will be over.
A fair amount of people are doing the right thing but the photos from the crowds lining up to get into the nightclubs up here last weekend suggest that most 30 and under couldn’t give a ****!!
And to be fair, why would they ?

Im actually suprised more of the population haven't completely ignored all advice, and just done as they please, given what others seem to be getting away with.
Yes I agree we have the same issues up here , 30,000 at the BLM protest when we were all still locked down.
Trouble with that ( for the under 30’s) is they forget , if they get sick they’ll probably just feel like it’s a bad cold , but it’s who they infect afterwards that’s the issue , their parents ( likely to be in their 60’s), their grandparents ( likely to be in the 80’s) and the domino affect.
We get out more than we used to but I’m still having groceries delivered and avoid shopping centres like they are a plague.

I think a huge amount of people got complacent after our early success. I can’t imagine qld will be missed in these new breakouts either. Matter of time until we start getting reports of community transmission up here.
Hopefully not until the cricket season. I used to love watching cricket but the games reached saturation level and I've mostly lost interest!
