Funny how the Perth - Bears consortium have been strangely quiet in all this. Now Balmain and a Kiwi team are talking about a merger to be the 19th team, splitting with the Magpies, I cant see that happening ,although stranger things have happened
I can certainly see the Tigers splitting with Magpies. Wether they merge again is another thing.Funny how the Perth - Bears consortium have been strangely quiet in all this. Agreed.‘On’ or ‘of’, Mr Sun?
Australia always fares somewhat better when you rule from the sensible centre. That’s what is happening now. Not the far right or far left.
I’m sure you and Bela already know that.

I base my opinion on policies not media propaganda, like the majority in the US seem to have done. This is not about left or right wing nonsense that so many fall into. Its about examining the policy issues, what impact on us all. I'm supportive of some elements of the Labor party, the Greens and the Libs, depending upon the issue. If all you can see is one perspective, you've been conditioned, just as those in the US have been, in selecting Trump or Russia has done in selecting Putin. Thank heavens we haven't madcap leaders like that. Albo is making mistakes in my opinion. Morrison made many mistakes in my opinion. But fortunately as one has indicated the centrist values of our society seem to be holding.

"The government has offered to give us full detail, which we don't yet have," he (Peter Dutton) said.
"I'll wait until we get that detail before I make any comment in relation to that."
Still, Mr Dutton suggested the Coalition was comfortable with tying sports diplomacy to Australia's strategic objectives in the region.
"Our interests in the region are absolutely paramount, particularly in very difficult times, so I want to make sure we can work with near neighbours including in PNG to make sure there's a family first approach (to security) in our region," he said.
"I want to make sure that we can continue to have very close ties with PNG and other countries and there are different ways that we can do that. We'll seek information about whether this is the most appropriate way from the government, and we'll make an announcement in due course."
Unfortunately you only get to choose one party to win and govern ... not a fantasy wish list of different policies from all comers.
To suggest otherwise is impractical and futile ... and to elect a parliament with 3 or more independents, or minor party's exercising power over legislation is a democratic abomination.
so I looked at what the Greens offered and voted Green.
Good Grief ... were you expecting them to win? ... or did you just decide to waste all the time you spent in studying policies, not to mention wasting your vote.
PS ... just for the record ... when studying the Green's manifesto ... did you come across any policies you thought were a little off?
So what say you Woodsie. Should I mindlessly vote for the same party over and over,
Can't recall suggesting this ... however I would suggest that the overall directions and philosophies of a party are more important than a few individual policies.
Well they don't, that's because they're too busy repairing all the damage The Liberals and Nationals caused when they were in Government.Wow...I didn't know Albo, his fiance and Penny Wong posted on Silvertails.

9 and a half years of incompetence and pig headed ignorance.
Great to see that Labor has halved the inflation rate from the 6.2% they inherited from The Coalition in 2022.
Ironically, because unemployment has fallen, due to Labor's spending policies, the Reserve Bank won't reduce Interest Rates.
Capitalism is a very strange and bewildering economic system.

Unfortunately we both know there are political implications to this decision. Great if it benefit PNG and a team from that neighbour was always under consideration. However its choice ahead of the much better financially backed and stable Perth, I strongly suspect was a political decision, partly to benefit PNG (which is a positive intent even if fraught with serious problems) but to keep China out as much as possible so we don't have them on our door step. This is despite the crazy then liberal government of Northern Territory that granted a 99 year lease to a Chinese based corporation, Landbridge, giving control of a commercial port in Darwin Harbour. Successive federal governments have turned a blind eye on the agreement. Ah governments. Don't you just luv 'emAnd here’s me thinking this was a football forum.
More fool me , it’s obviously a platform for the far left to promote their trash.
Can we get back to footy please.
Realise that , and comments about the political nature of the decision are absolutely relevant , but if you look at the comment I was replying to it was just an advertisement for the Albanese Government and slamming the opposition.Unfortunately we both know there are political implications to this decision.
