Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

Back to the thread title.
I've read a lot of Seibold bagging by a lot of posters.

After a loss, that happens a fair bit. Seeing a lot of 'if only we had a great tactician and motivator - we would always win. Spoonbold. Spoony. Not a Manly coach. Winning is everything - loosing is for losers' etc etc etc. 'How dare he say that he's proud of the boys / our effort after a loss?'

Wayne Bennett is one of the most decorated RL coaches of all time, most grand final wins, winning seven premierships from ten grand final appearances in the NRL and its predecessors the Super League and New South Wales Rugby League, is coaching a team which is running 16 out of 17 in the premiership. The Bunnies currently have a minus 129 in their for and against.

I don't hear any chorus about Wayne Bennett's coaching abilities - that he's a loser, has lost his ability, or he's not a motivator.

Perhaps success on the field is truly 'multi-factorial' ; i.e. many factors are involved.

And very sadly, that's why I've started blocking particular posters on here. I really didn't want to - I want to see all opinions, no matter how wacky.

But if a poster cannot see any sort of balance at all, and just keeps endlessly banging the same drum based on opinion with no real substantive, balanced evidence (and it's really a bit libelous at the end of the day), then a block it is.

Yep drums are an amazing instrument, but if you're stuck for any amount of time listening to one being whacked by someone that doesn't know how ... can be truly painful

As for Seibs, it occurs to me another reason why moving Turbo to centre has gone OK is that it still gives us a threat on both sides, even without Haumole.
Will be interesting to see if he stays there once Haumole returns. And if so, how effective they might be together? Could be a lot of fun to watch!

Are you talking about Bozo? I used to think he was funny and a bit of comic relief but even I’ve been tested by the same incessant ranting about Mestrov and Seibold. Unless the forum is full of amnesiacs, I see no reason to keep pedalling the same message day in and day out for months at a time, across multiple threads.

There’s always or should always be , balance.

Don’t you think it’s hilarious , we lose, the pile on begins , and they bang on incessantly until the next game and if we lose that one too the sky is literally falling in.

However , we win one ( and now two ) and those posters ( who add absolutely zero to the forum otherwise ) hide until the next loss.

I had to laugh on Sunday , I was keeping and eye on the game day forum and old Soupy was doing his usual thing , **** team, **** player blah blah blah but then we went 1,2, 3 bingo and he just stopped posting , vanished only to reappear the next time we lose.

I’m absolutely sure who Soupy is , a once regular poster , who got caned for his constant negativity , so he just starts another account, in fact I think he might have 2 or 3 accounts.

Of course there’s always balance and losses are always due to multiple factors , NOT, just the coach.

Personally, I haven’t mentioned the coach in weeks, and haven’t seen any coach bagging of note since we last lost a game, so not sure why the need to resurrect the issue again. I would only say that the obvious difference with Bennett is that he has runs on the board (ie premierships) which affords him some leeway. Nevertheless I have seen quite a bit of Bennett and Hasler bashing on here, in the form of the “too old and past it” variety.
