My view is that just changing coach Grimace won't change things much. It will make some fans feel good but I doubt that the effect would be that we're suddenly winning comps or making the top 4. I don't think Seibold is a world beating coach but he's not the worst coach we've had (Barrett takes that place) and I don't think he is the worst coach in the comp. Our issues are bigger than just the coach, ...... In a perfect world I'd love rich owners who want to win premierships not just make a profit, someone at the top with the balls to fix an unbalanced salary cap and end the paying way, way, way overs for old players that are past it, recruiting a young mobile, aggressive forward pack, having someone at the club who is ruthless with cutting under performing players like the Roosters are consistently able to do, having a recruitment team that can actually attract top tier players and not just Tigers cast offs, having a proper pathways system for Juniors. Just my view but unless these things change then getting rid of coach Grimace is not going to do much and we're stuck in mediocrity and will be sacking coaches every three years and stuck with being satisfied with maybe making the finals 1 in every 5 years.
The things that need changing are really hard to charge and almost impossible unless the Penn family want to sell or invest in the club which they've shown they don't
Who do you think we should sign as a coach?
Moral of the story ...... the man who is paid to milk the precious life seed from a camel will not achieve much on his own unless the camel is happy for the life seed to exit. Ponder that one.
