I often wonder whether people ever pause to think about the kind of stuff they are inadvertently supporting by watching (and wanking to) porn. One of the most evil and sadistic industries on the planet bar none.

I agree with you, , I guess I just don’t see the point of espousing virtues/morality/religion endlessly on a footy forum.The world is a mucked up place, I like footy chat kept seperate from that. I just feel the pontification goes over the top here. guys are gonna wank, guys and girls Are going to get hooked on gear and do anything to score, people are going to take advantage of anyone, anyway they can. It’s become the human condition, or Maybe it always was for some.


I don’t pretend to be supremely virtuous at all, I hold myself to a standard and I fall short often, but I keep trying.

There is a great line in the
Movie blood diamond, where the lead character says “I wonder if god will ever forgive us what we have done to each other, then I remember god left
This place a long time ago”

I’m not a believer, but I dig the sentiment.

I haven't posted or responded to anything about religion in a good while, nor have I offered my opinion on pornography before this either. Despite the plethora of chances in which to do so. I came on this thread to read about club news... as I assume you did.

The world of NRL can be relied on to get entangled in virtually every political issue known to modern society. And on a regular basis! Which I don't think of as a negative, although luckily we have the General discussion forum where threads get sent when the debates get in the way of the footy.
Speaking of footy, that reminds me - this off season will be a bit shorter than usual

That is big news, I think the fact there was no reserve comp last year definitely hurt us more than some other clubs.
