At 34 years of age the Great Maroon Cherry is still Ripe and Ripping the Blues to shreds
What an Amazing Durable Legend DCE is

The Legendary Maroon Manly and QLD Maroon Leader

Time for Jurbo, Turbo and Burbo to go on a well deserved holiday to Ibiza.
Their work for Manly is done.
That is NSW Blues Talk mentality
No wonder you Blues always lose

The season is not over as yet
And The Maroon Passion and pride is never done
Time to rise like Eagles and soar high above adversity and prevail like Resilient Eagles do

MANLY STAR GIVEN PERMISSION TO LEAVE
Manly have granted boom youngster Latu Fainu permission to negotiate with rival clubs despite being in the middle of the richest deal ever inked by a teenager.

Fainu signed a four-year contract with the Sea Eagles in 2021 just months after his 16th birthday which put the young half on track to earn the most money of any teen in rugby league history.

Despite the fact he is progressing well through Manly’s junior grades, the club has granted Fainu permission to move on at season’s end as the salary cap starts to bite the Sea Eagles.

Fainu’s brother Samuela also has 12 months left on his contract but he too could join Latu out of the club with the pair expressing a desire to play alongside each other long-term.

Wests Tigers have loomed as the frontrunners to land the brothers with the Tigers already having another Fainu on their books. Sione Fainu joined the Tigers midway through last year from Manly with the 21-year-old prop yet to make his NRL debut.

New Tigers head of recruitment Scott Fulton remains close to the Fainu family given his former role at the Sea Eagles.

The Dolphins have also been linked to them.

Latu was due to come into Manly’s top 30 squad next year but with Daly Cherry-Evans, Josh Schuster and Jake Arthur on their books they would struggle to carry another half.

Fainu was part of Manly’s undefeated Harold Matthews premiership winning side in 2021. He has stepped up into Manly’s NSW Cup side in recent weeks.

Samuela made his NRL debut earlier this year and has played five matches following in the footsteps of brother Manase who played 34 games for the Sea Eagles before he was jailed for at least four years and three months after he was last year found guilty of a stabbing outside a Mormon church.

WTF is going on at our club?

And people thought I was joking when I said Johns / Arthur could be our long term halves pairing.

This has to be a joke right?

This boy is going to be a genius. I would rather let Schuster go than Latu. The club needs its head read if this is true. This must NOT happen!!

Thank you @The Wheel
A torn peck sounds like a season ending injury for the Great Turbo

The Good news is that There is an old and true proven saying
In the midst of every crisis lies Great opportunity
This is an opportunity for all our other players in our team to show us how Great they can be without Turbo

Salary cap starting to bite, please give me a break. What is there a race to see who can be the biggest basket case with the Tigers and the Dragons. We definitely need a new accountant

The fact that it has not been released via the Club’s official website, should be a warning.

Obviously those sorts of press releases find their way onto the website in short order.

To borrow from Mr Orangeface (Donald Trump), it might just be ‘fake news’.

The only club with a weak roster and no money. Don't give me the cap tied up with 3 players cr@p, the salary cap has increased significantly....all clubs have many high paid "superstars" yet they ALL have cash to splash. Penn is a fool

I find this nowhere online, please post a link @XV-1
Sadly, there is an actual story in the Telegraph's Sports Confidential. Right now it's linked from their front page under "Sport Con: Ponga goes public to reveal new sporting glamour couple" (spoiler alert: it's not him and Kurt Mann). I posted the link in the Latu thread. Of course, whether there is any truth to it is another thing entirely. But yes, it's in the Tele. Make of that what you will.
