Club News 2022

I wonder if Des was consulted. Something tells me he would be attuned to player concerns, and if he was not consulted beforehand - I imagine he was fuming.

They can state their beliefs AND then play the game in a jersey with a coloured stripe... or not, but it will clearly demoNstrate their commitment to their team...

I don't know why I have become their advocate ... but .. they may argue that their commitment to their God/values takes precedent over their team ..

They would (in a sidebar) probably suggest that it is your cavalier attitude to principle and beliefs that is the sole cause of the complete deterioration of the Western World ..

You bet I f*cking would! I have no problem with people right to believe what they want - until it restricts the rights of others...
And Manly is the ultimate religion - BELIEVE OR LEAVE! (our team, not you personally)
Love the passion Frank. I like the comment “until it restricts the rights of others” what about the rights of the players to have there view? LOL

This is terrible, my heart is breaking, our beautiful manly sea eagles have sold their soul to leftist corruption. The same leftism that has turned the people into spineless jellyfish, too scared to follow their beliefs or voice their opinions, as they are forced to conform to irrational woke movements.
Christ! It’s embarrassing to read so many ill informed, fundamentalist and bigoted views on here.

Bigoted: obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudiced against or antagonistic towards a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group. You see the word cuts both ways - if you are a Christian of a Muslim you could say it's bigoted for others to expect you to support something against your beliefs.

You’re talking about a jersey is in some way promoting fellas sticking their dicks up bums. Your words, not mine. That’s idiotic at best, and yes, bigoted at worse. How old are you?

They can express their views - that does not stop them playing in a slightly more colourful jersey (and potentially removes any 'moral conflict')...
These blokes are paid a f*ckton of money to play a f*cking ball game and are willing to abandon their team over a coloured stripe... f*ck them...
State your moral standpoint and then suit up and play some f*cking footy - no wonder we are where we are with powderpuff b*tches like this making up half our squad...

You know, it's a piece of fabric. Are big, muscly, supposedly tough, footballers really threatened by it?
Get over yourselves and wear it.
The players are paid very nicely to play a game for a living.
Man up and wear some rainbows.
Promise you, your dick will not fall off.
*Just my opinion.

How does your earlier post saying that any player that refuses to wear the jersey be stood down and released be viewed ... in relation to your above post.

Are you not ostracising, bullying, disempowering, and silencing a certain community/group .. where is your acceptance and compassion for their difference ..

Regardless of my view or your view ... any players that do protest will be doing so honestly and in a genuine belief that they are following their religious values ..

I respect the Pride movement ... and in doing so I must also respect the players that follow their beliefs.
I didn't say they should be stood down. I suggested they be allowed to sit out the game (their choice) and then allowed to move on if the club and player cannot reconcile their differences moving forward. I also respect their beliefs.

I'm happy for players to stay and play regardless of their belief as long as they are willing to take the field and play for the team. If a player has particularly strong religious views or alternate sexual lifestyle, or whatever it may be, they are welcome to play together as far as I'm concerned. However, boycotting to join the field with your team mates is not a sustainable way forward. I would hold the same view if we held a Polynesian christian respect round and any player refused to take the field or wear a jersey for it..

Exactly, they still get to take it off after the game and shower together nude.
