Absolute Superstar
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”;

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run—
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Woken up this morning and it just sucks thinking about the game. I was so excited and looking forward to it so much. Had a great dinner and drinks ready, and then within 30 seconds knew we had no hope. Whole game was a hard watch with literally no highlights from us. Now our season is done until March. Long time without footy, and I live for my footy… sad

I know exactly how you feel brother, in fact I felt it for nearly a week but have moved on. That just shows how much you love your team and are emotionally invested in the club, and that in itself is something to be proud of - if it’s an constellation I salute all the Manly fans that travelled to pack out the stadium - compare that to the pissweak attendance from Cronulla fans. The Great Depression is always toug,long life the greatest game of all time Rugby League!

I thought JWH raised the point of his elbow but surely (surely surely surely) the bunker had plenty of time to look at that... or was this part of the 'it's finals just let them play' policy?
How that was not considered dangerous contact with the head is yet another sad indictment of the refereeing standard and inconsistency. Especially when you see the victim almost knocked out and carted off. Yet the NRL says they are all interested in players welfare and head knocks. They deserve all the compensation suits they will no doubt get in future.

My biggest disappointment however with THAT tackle .....not one single manly player came in to defend Tolu or take umbridge at JWH. And right there is the single biggest problem with our pack going forward to next year.

Let’s all have a chew!
Reading almost all the comments and Manly fans still haven’t caught on that Huomole is officially the soul of the 1st grade team.
How is it possible that Huomole has been far better than any other player these last 2 important games and far ahead of that fraud DCE.
1 player has stood up these last 2 game. Only 1 player !

Also, Why was almost all of Manly’s attack last night on the left-hand side away from DCE. it’s obvious why. Siebold is utterly clueless. After Koula got injured, most of Manly‘s attack should’ve been on the right with Huomole, who’s their best attacking player.
DCE with no passing attacking game exposed again.
Not sure he’s the only player who stood up. The thing with Haumole is imo he is arguably the most damaging player in the game with and without the ball. He keyed in the last two weeks that’s for sure. He is an elite backrower who would prob be one of the most feared players to come up against. We did not do enough last night to get him one on one with his opposition.

Great point. If they had, then the bunker would have been forced to scrutinise it and at least we'd all know if it was Tolu being careless or JWH being JWH.

Yep not one of our forwards came in and stood over JWH in defence of there team mate.

The 2008 manly pack or panthers pack of this year wouldn’t allow it.

I take your point but I thought our players prioritised Tolu’s welfare over push and shove. There’s nothing more horrible than seeing a guy on the ground concussed, being trampled by chest thumping Neanderthals.

A mate at the game messaged me about poor completion rate interesting to see the stats today, and in comparison to the last meeting in Round 21.

Most props run with the ball on the chest and arms wrapped around it , the problem was head position for Koula and Jake both didn't get in the right position ,
