China off agenda for 2013

On a related note -
2013 is The Year of the Snake 😀

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2013 is the Year of the Snake, which begins on February 10, 2013 and ends on January 30, 2014. The Snake is the sixth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal Signs. It is the enigmatic, intuitive, introspective, refined and collected of the Animals Signs. Ancient Chinese wisdom says a Snake in the house is a good omen because it means that your family will not starve (of a Premiership)

Perhaps they could organise an International Rules type match at seasons end similar to the Aussie Rules/Gaelic Football matches against a Chinese team, one half league and one half ping-pong....come to think about it that woud suit the AFL better too, both games being much the same...

Omen for the Dally M...?
If he stays on the field all year nothing would surprise me.

Well last year was the year of the dragon...so I dunno.

That's a pity. It would have been an excellent trip. Shopping in HK is very good, as is the food. Anyway, it'll give Bones plenty of time to save up.

Its not a matter of saving up. Have been to Asia before and have zero interest whatsoever to go back. Put the game in Europe, North America or Africa and I'd be there in a heartbeat. I've been to all three and loved it.

Ahh.. The Great Fence Of China.

I hope Manly and Canberra can work it out for 2014. It would be an awesome promotion for the game, and both clubs, and for supporter tours.
Perhaps, when we win the 2013 comp and play the World Cup Challenge in England we can continue the international sojourn by meeting Canberra in China for the start of the season.
That match would have to beat Easts V Souffs.

el oh el

If there's no china match, maybe the nrl will squeeze in another monday nighter for you locals!
