Nope , glaringly obvious isn’t it , can’t disrupt the Bulldogs fairytale.

Look it’s a tough ask regardless, but I bet ( just like every other time this year ) we’ll get a lead and then all of a sudden the flow of the game will change.

You can smell it coming.

Really , no chance of a win.
The one thing that fills me with confidence this week is I feel like the Dogs are due a loss and could be flat.

So yeah, not really confidence in Manly, more so confidence in the psychology of being ‘up’ for weeks, before eventually crashing.

In a weird way, I’m more confident this week than last…I mentioned the Leichhardt hoodoo on the forum and it came true, yet again. It’s never been a happy hunting ground for us.

I mentioned this somewhere earlier in the week. We have beaten every top 8 opponent we have played thus far. Maybe we can keep that stat for the remaining two rounds.

Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, who has conceded less points that the Dogs?
For mine, tries conceded per game is the most accurate measure.

Takes out byes and also effective goalkicking......guess not perfect as giving away penalties plays into it....but close enough.

Bulldogs are indeed top. We are 6th.

That said I do think we match up well against them. We have a fairly unorthodox playing style which will be different to what most clubs have throw at them and their middles shouldn't run roughshod over us like some clubs.

Will be an interesting game. Why biggest fear is the huge crowd may unsettle some of our lot.

The Dogs have the 2nd most inexperienced team this round. Hopefully they get a bit overawed by the crowd and expectation.

They flogged the Broncos at Suncorp with 40,000+ few weeks ago and beat the Eels in June with close to 40,000. I don’t think that is a good measure. Biggest concerns with inexperience on that edge is with Hoppa junior

Halves match up could be interesting , particularly with Brooks and Burton.
Different playing styles to whatever extent , probably will not determine the outcome but especially after last week , pretty important for Luke to really shape up .
Then the kicking game to help gain some ascendancy , definitely need D C E and Brooks on their game there .
Really have to keep to try to keep the pressure and tempo up all game.
Recall the early season game against the Dogs last year where Manly just got up .
Dogs have no doubt improved since then , would like to think that Manly have gone up a notch or two as well .
Overall results in 24 seem to indicate they have and will certainly have to reflect this tomorrow night .
Naturally if the forwards can really aim up , should get them well on their way for the win and to make amends for the Tigers serious setback

True, but they were somewhat under the radar back then, now the air of expectation is on them.

Lehi has exceeded all expectations, he's proved that size doesn't matter. In attack Lehi makes nothing plays into try scoring plays. No real concerns for me, and welcome to ST forum.

True, however they weren't expected to win those games at the time.

His opposite has 6 first grade games experience. Should be a good rookie match up.

True, They've been up for so long now, wouldn't surprise me to see a drop of in intensity from them tomorrow night. Also, Steve C and Kurt Mann are big outs for them.

Thanks for the welcome.
I’m a diehard Bulldogs fan who has lived in the heart of Manly Warringah all my life, but also closely follow Manly as my best mates and family are big fans so always good to hear the oppositions discussion.

Wishing Turbo a big congrats on his 150th.

Funny story, a manly player lives in my unit block, first time we met and chat was the day after you guys beat us last year. Should be a cracker of a game, I expect to be heckled at the pub as I do every year but that’s the beauty of footy. Best of Luck

You know one thing that gives me some false confidence?

We seem to play much better against better teams. It is why I am shocked by the lazy work most commentators are putting in when they review our chances
