Flanagan was banned for his role in a doping scandal and later banned again for flagrantly breaching the terms of that original ban.

Wanting another coach is one thing but I don't really understand how some people still want/see him as the saviour we should have had.
Like I said I dont like bagging Siebs and he has done some really good things but e.g Lehi ,Talau, Brown etc ,but he clearly pulled the wrong rein in the Souffs game by not playing Humphreys which has come back to bite us ,and I think his faith in Croker as an 80 minute hooker is misplaced .We looked so much faster in the fowrwards with Simkin at 9 and Lawton at 12 .They have a light weight agile pack ,we have enough size already sprinkled with a few faster lighter types like Lawto and Browny ,but all that will count for nothing and make it hard for us without fast 9 service.
So my point is from what I have seen of Flanno he has picked the best for his team in the positions best for the team i.e the Fullback and Lomax ,with little regard for past successes of players or hurt feelings etc .
Anyways just my opinion, and I fear we will see ST's criticising our oversized and slow forwards if we lose ,but in reality the 9 and the service and threat from DH is what probably dictates the success or otherwise of the middles we have .
Go Manly

Nah mate we win 2 we get a home final. And it will be either dogs or cows at home. No other scenario plays out if we win out as cows play dogs last round. We win out we finish on 35. It’s impossible for both the dogs and Cows to finish on more than 35 now (again, if we win our last 2)

Ps- I’m not throwing a draw between cows v dogs last round into this scenario as it’s too unlikely and that would change things.
yeah, seeing it now, didn't factor in the Dogs v Cows last rd game.

I reckon we got this. Last week would have hurt. Should be up for this and just hope we are.
Whilst I do think we’ll be “ up” I also think we’ll be shafted ( again ) as let’s not forget how the NRL rolls , they absolutely love their fairytales.

A Manly win just doesn’t fit the narrative.

Thank you for posting @The Wheel

Bellamy wouldn’t be the same away from the incredible system they’ve created down there.

Much is said about him being the master coach , it’s more that they ( and he no doubt helped ) have created a world class system , facilities , people , support staff etc etc.

If say Bellamy went to the Tigers there would be no magic instant success.
There’s a reason why he’s never left.

The dogs play with energy grit and defend with purpose. They give nothing away and never give in. Manly well they like to play pretty and only for short periods. The dogs have a score to settle against manly. This will be a bloodbath. Kind of hoping this prolonged humiliation will lead someone in the club to realise our forwards are soft. Jake god love him is so slow, Ben is neither a back nor a forward, both hookers are painfully bland. We lack punch and defensive effort.
It all starts at the top dog he accepts and pays staff coaching staff and players and until we get a new owner who has what’s needed to win big then the past 10 years of rot will soon be 20 with maybe a very first wooden spoon thrown in there

Yeah correct. It's called unlimited NEWS Corp $$$ to buy the best sports science and people they can find. Great when you have that sort of cash behind you. It's a joke playing field to think that most other clubs can compete with that.

Talk of a 40K crowd seems way over for a 6pm Friday game.

But if it is, would go close to the biggest ever Manly vs Canterbury crowd.

41,127 crowd - 1995 Grand Final at SFS
36,420 crowd - 2012 Final at SFS -
31,381 crowd - 1976 Final at SCG

I think the biggest regular season game was 25,771 in Rd 5 of 2004 at Homebush

Pretty sure I read on the Bulldogs forum that they've sold 40k of tickets so far.
