Would imagine some variation of the prior with different players in different positions. I can't see any option other than bringing on Burbo/Bullemor in the second row to bump Lawton to hooker. Possible Aloiai/Sipley swap I'd imagine would be on the cards too.

And in nsw cup who can’t make finals simpkins and Gordon play 9 and 14
I can see the other changes we have made I like them but not having a 14 and asking Croker to play 80 at 9 won’t go down well

This is the perfect example to show people who stick up for Seibold,or any coach for that matter,by saying “he wasn’t out on the field dropping the ball or missing tackles”
Blame or credit starts at the selection table.
The team looked significantly better when Simpkin was 9 and the defence hasn’t looked any stronger since Croker’s return

Id imagine lawton will come in at 12 and probably shift ben back to the bench if hes healthy. That or he will come off the bench to spell croker or burbo. I cant see tolu stayin on the pine in favour of not carrying a bench hooker of some sort.

I agree Lawman will be in the 17 somewhere. He’s been close to our best for the last few games that he’s played. Can’t imagine Croker will be our only dummy half option. Not sure who’ll miss out though. Koula is a good sub. Come on when things loosen up and potentially wreak havoc.

Not sure Sipley has earned a spot over Aloiai. Neither are inspiring me at the moment. Lodge has done OK in reggies but will that translate to NRL level against a fast and mobile Bulldogs pack. I think we need more speed in the middle - Jake, Sipley, Lodge are all pretty slow.

I don't know about Max being a better coach for us, but it may be beneficial to have him instill some passion and fire up the boys during this week and/or before the game on Friday. If not Maxy, then Spud Carroll. It certainly couldn't hurt.

I fear if Spud was let in the sheds after the Tigers game we would have a lot more forwards with injuries (mostly to the head).

The problem is that a storm or 'insert nrl's favoured team here' hasn't asked for it first, so as it's Manly, not a chance.

Tom could set up his own third party system and pay them outta his pocket once paid!!!!


- something similar happened in the nhl when roberto Luongo had a 7 year contract and wanted to get out of it or take less money as he was old and useless....but the nhl wouldn't allow it.

Luongo himself said at a press conference that his contract 'sucked' as it was stopping him moving teams....and this was a contract worth a lot bloody more that 1.1million.

Also he retired a few years ago...but he still gets paid for that contract until his 7 years is up!!!!!

Brown and Bullemor off the bench together. The speed thru the ruck, and Brownie hopefully puts a massive liver shot on Kikau.

It's an interesting team list.

Option 1. Having made the 8 but with top 4 being impossible, this game is all about players getting a hit out or chance to find form. Frog, Lodge, AOA, Koula we know they need a run. Is it all about the run and not the win in this one now. Almost keep some tricks up our sleeve against a possible first up finals opponent?

Option 2. The game plan really is to rotate big man after big man after big man and run over the top of that tiny little blue pack. And just let Froggy tackle all day long.

Option 3. It's a smoke screen and it changes yet?

No hooker is going to give you good value if you’ve got them working for 80 minutes.

Yep, even Shane Flanagan said the Manly squad was a Premiership winning squad. Just a crying shame that the coach isn't.

I don’t like bagging Seibs but I still think we got that wrong and should have got Flanno with Seibs assistant, anyways spiky milk now

burbo and croker are the weakest links at the moment. Croker can barely play 40 quality minutes, let alone 80, I hope Lawton is fit, burbo doesn’t deserve to be in the top 17. So many chances, so little payoff.

aoa and paseka need to show what they really have

Is lodge staying next year? Weird to play a guy who maybe doesn’t care about the team, would rather Sipley If lodge leaving is the case

Brooke’s must be due for his 1 in 5 slightly Above average games

Every incremental improvement across the board will help
