Great win but given how terrible that Dogs side was I'm disappointed we didn't score 5 or 6 more tries. Combination of trying to overcook a few plays, a bit of bad luck with disallowed tries, and the ref giving the Dogs a lot of leeway cost us what probably would have been the biggest winning margin ever in an NRL game.

Oh well, handy for the for and against at least!
Manly played to there level which is why they only got to 66 should have been triple figures @:p

Can anyone remember whether or not it was 3 points for a try in 1973. If it was, as i suspect, then surely the Eadie lead team's achievement 63 point win is still No 1 ?, (cant remember Bozo playing that day). in terms of tries ?

It was 3 points for a try back in 1973. You could argue though that in today's game, it's pro athletes vs pro athletes so teams are on a more level playing field and for a team to get blown off the park like today is truly spectacular

Please report back .....
It was wonderful. Its like Disneyland has anew section called Hatred World. Barrett's getting most of the hate but none of their players are missing out altogether and the fans are turning on each other. A sad, sad day for the dogs 🙂

One of the things that really stood out for me was how big Keppie's motor is. We obviously weren't getting pumped in defence, but Keppie was putting on big hits and making hard carries the whole time he was out there. Stoked we extended him early.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I originally only had 2 Set Re-Starts for us in the second half (one at approx 34:33 and the other at 27:35) and the FOX Sports coverage only displayed two but the NRL website Match Centre - Bulldogs v Sea Eagles Game Play by Play had three.

I went back and watched where they said that the other one occurred and there were two in quick succession that you can hear the referee call at approx 34:45 and 34:33 but only the one was acknowledged by the FOX Sports coverage.

Even though we weren't in trouble today, it annoyed me that the Dogs had 4 players put on report and not one of them (from memory) was penalised. I never liked how they were going back a set to penalise foul play (they don't do it anymore it seems), but at the same time I'd rather not have the ref basically say "I missed foul play, you're on report and may be suspended but don't worry there are no consequences for you in this match". If they miss it, deal with it after the game but don't rub the missed penalty in our faces.

A few pre-game were saying that Manly would need a convincing win today if we are serious about doing anything in this comp.
So I guess that proves it - Manly is serious about doing something in this comp. Very serious, actually!
