Sorry to hear that about you Earnie, hope you’re doing ok. They can do some pretty marvellous things in today's day in age. My sisters in remission and another of my close acquaintance that I know had it also and is in remission too. The trick is that they catch it early and you get yourself a really really good doctor.

All the best Earnie, I hope it can be cured. We have all had someone touched by this (I do) and we need all the Manly fans we can get. Stay well.

Sorry to hear that Earnie. :(

Chin up mate, hopefully they caught it early.

LoL, REALLY untroubled, eh? As each Sea Eagle employee ventures over, another Bulldogs existing staff members role is made redundant. Here is the hit list of employees that may very well be out of a job next year:-

Jim Dymock – Interim Head Coach

Harry Harris – High Performance Coach

Tony Grimaldi – Head Conditioner

Tony Ayoub – Physiotherapist

Dr Joe Lombardo – Club Doctor

Brett Kimmorley - Specialist Coach

Fred Ciraldo – Team Manager

Garry Carden – Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

Steve McCullagh – Assistant Physiotherapist

Larry Britton – Head Trainer

Dr Hugh Hazzard – Medical Consultant

Andy Patmore – NYC Coach & Manager Coaching and Development

Justin Holbrook – NSW Cup Coach

Very surprised the media hasn't jumped onto that....

The Chaotic Canterbury Bulldogs last NRL achievement was when we won the comp in 2008 and they won the wooden spoon. Their favourite son and coach Moore was humiliated constantly in the back page of the D T by leaking from the board and was eventually and disgracefully back stabbed and sacked .Their forward Tandy involved in match fixing , Sonny Bill tells them to stick it where the sun dont shine and defects. How on earth did they lose one of the best players in the world in Thurston. Fined $500 thousand dollars and stripped off all competition points for salary cap breaches. The infamous Coffs Harbour scandal resulted in the sacking of favourite son Gary Hughes and the resignation of Canterbury legend Steve Mortimer. Their CEO Malcolm Noad said at the time that the allegations had led to the loss of millions of dollars in sponsorship money as well as the brand name being tarnished.
When it comes to Chaos the Chaotic Canterbury Bulldogs are the Kings. Good luck Des. and who ever wants to follow him.

Had to lol at this, manly fans speaking such crap yet they have the latest rape with stewart and a teenage girl, they have watmough bashing sponsors, seu seu and the scum like that running round, blokes like hoppa affililated with the club after fingering players up the bum. the board, peter peters, etc etc. Not to mention the club is broke again after a merge? lol cmon mate. i'm all for some fun but i wouldn't be throwing rocks in such a glass house.

the only thing you listed recent was tandy and he was fresh from the storm and hardly the dogs fault. he got the boot straight away none of those players were kept. all of yours were. enough said.

Fail

Brett was cleared of all charges
Watmough didn't BASH a sponsor he slapped the bloke and said sorry for that

For someone that said they were not here to cause trouble well....

seeing your the only reasonable one who isn't dribbling on about the dogs trying to buy a title, we were trying to replace our roster who got raided continually asotasi, myles, thurston, sbw, mason, anasta, tonga, o'meley, sherwin, mataiu etc do i need to go on? alot of them were bought from us some let go for personal reasons or walked etc. we had to buy something didn't we? our 08 team was a nsw cup team for f**k sake.

as for the whole stewart not guilty, u guys are talking about rape which noone was ever charged for with the dogs. as i said i wouldnt be throwing stones in such a glass house.

* I'm afraid you have lost the plot as you obviously know nothing about the Brett Stewart situation as all Manly fans correctly do. One more idiotic post and it's sinbin time* MB
Are you worried that once Des leaves the Dogs in the future after his contract expires, he will take his whole entourage with him and half the playing roster?

Do you want Des to bring through younger players and develop them or rather him take half our squad to the Dogs then leave with them again in a couple of years?

I don't want all of manlys team, half of them i think are massively overrated. That doesn't mean they aren't good players, they suit each other and fill the boxes required to be a succesful team. I think Manly is a prime example of talent mixed with grit and toughness. Blokes like Joey Galavao etc aren't superstars but they are needed and neve get the credit they deserve. Blokes like Watmough are hot and cold but overhyped.

In saying this their is a realistic view, the dogs don't need manlys squad. I'd of loved hoppa or even robertson to go on one wing with turner. However a winger isn't that hard to come up with. We seem to be struggling with that at present but i'm not sure how much you guys here but theres alot of talk Brett Morris will go to the dogs for 2013. Anyway a winger like Turner is all we need, not a superstar, not gonna break open a game but is just safe and reliable e.g your robertson.

However we do need a 5/8. We can't have a average meh 5/8. We cant pluck one out of our arses either. For us to be competive at the highest level i do believe we will need to sign someone. I hear all the rumours of Foran, although i've heard just as many about Maloney. Doesn't mean we will get either of them, hell doesn't even mean either of them will leave their clubs. However i do believe we need somene and i'm sure Des and Todd realise that too. Being that one key position away, with the cap ment to go up, and the fact we have signed little this year and have so many off contract next year of blokes likely to depart in my opinion from stagg, halatau, millington, keating etc i'd expect us to make a big play at someone. I'd be extremely suprised if we didn't land one if we went for the pair of them. Now with Todd, Des, Crusher and the Belmore training facilities most likely the best in the comp. Be honest, who wouldn't want to play for them if the money is as good or close to as good as your other offers?

Sadly loyalty is almost dead in this game, very few players/coaches/board members have it. It goes both ways, we lose them, we sign them. We bred alot of talent. Sadly we chose to keep the wrong ones, and the others got bought out from us. This is a big circle but now we are starting to see some more Dog products coming through that are the goods and I believe once we land a quality winger, quality 5/8 and get our coaching board together. I expect us to be back to the old dogs and basically the way manly has been past few years which is same squad loss the odd average player and add the odd average player.

Fellow Sea Eagle Earnie , I am sorry to hear about about your cancer mate, keep up that winning Manly spirit and you will overcome this . Our prayers are with you .

Just wanted to say Hang in there Ernie. Kind of puts all the bickering about football into perspective.
From your recent posts I get the feeling we are in a similar age bracket, I realise we've never met but if there's ever anything I can do..don't hesitate to email me..

Pretty funny really. We are the Premiers, for the 2nd time in 3 years, woe is Manly.

Yet the Dogs were 9th again and don't have a care in the world. Boy I sure wish we could be carefree and come 9th all the time, wouldn't that be relaxing?

Hahahahaha.. good one .. but knowing them(dogs supporters) , it`s lost on them, they dont dont think that deep,.... It`s yippeee we got Dessie, now we will win the GF.. Dumb like Illawarra supporters..
