Its funny on this site whenever the salary cap is discussed the roosters and brisbane never come up but the storm and bulldogs do .
The dogs have been signing and re signing a few players but rest assured the knives are being sharpened as we speak , 1st carving will most certainly be the " buy of the century " TRex . Look for a possible trade deal with Hiku . 4 or 5 players also on the chopping block .The thing about the bulldogs is they had learnt a painful lesson with the salary cap 12yrs ago , two years after that they won the comp and then ( having to shed more than half their players because of salary cap pressures ) four years later they came last .
The storm have come up with their own way of dealing with the cap - keep the big 3 , develop young blokes and then top up with roughies . Manly seemed to have copied their model ( except for the ditching of front rowers )

One the Roast the DT journo was saying..

"They (dogs) must be following the rules, they must. They got done in 2002 and they will have learnt from that".

So because they broke the rules once means that they will never do it again. Ever heard of re-offending???
