Brisbane has been forced to make two late changes to its side to play Manly in tomorrow night's NRL clash at Suncorp Stadium.

Test forward Tonie Carroll has withdrawn with a rib injury while hooker Barry Berrigan has pulled out with a shoulder problem.

Coach Wayne Bennett has recalled veteran utility Darren Smith to play lock while another utility, Casey Maguire, will fill in at hooker.

Bennett has also handed exciting young prospect Berrick Barnes a place on the interchange bench with the possibility of him making his NRL debut.

Big loss. Very big loss. If their was a player that would find out the gaps up the centre it would be carrol. Barry is also a massive dent. They will struggle tommorrow. The forward will be just too much for 80mins.

Dont worry too much. Barry has been playing some great footie this year and his dummy half runs remind me of Dunnly. They will miss him.

so was I but I will take what we can get. Although you can see the excuses already formulating in the heads of the Broncos supporters

Ah yes. I can hear it in the crowd now. Oh ****, "Carrol would have made that tackle!"

yeah i mentioned Barry was in doubt, hes been in god form up the middle, just where we lost a bit of ground against the rabbits.

Barry has been playing great but I would have greater confidence knowing Steppa or Matai were not marking Shaun. He is a great player.

I think we will see a lot of beaver in the centres tommorrow in defence. Menzies that is...

Berrigan is a big loss for them but Barnes has a huge vibe about him up here.

Whilst unlikely, Tate's shoulder is better and he gets the stitches out of his tongue today. He might be an outside chance of playing if he gets a good report from the specialist today. I'll let you know if the local news has anything that the National news' don't.

If he plays you know they are worried.

It could be to our advantage though as they will plan to cover for him and leave openings elsewhere
